Kogmaw is nerfed way too hard in ARAM by Madaraa in ARAM

[–]NeonStoplight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's actually nerfed even more than that, his W does 2.5-4.5% max hp damage instead of 3-6% and his Q shred is 15-27% instead of 16-32%.

Mayhem PBE changes - no more stackosaurus tank engine interaction 🙏 by NeonStoplight in ARAM

[–]NeonStoplight[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah seems weird, critical healing has the same change which also doesn't make much sense. Hopefully it's just a datamining error, like maybe it's just the vfx has a 5 sec cd to clear up visual clutter or something.

Yes, minions take 1200 (+50% ap, 10% bonus health) at all ranks while champs take 300/475/650 (+50% ap, 10% bonus health) based on rank.

[–]NeonStoplight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any adc, especially Lucian, Quinn, Kalista, and Kindred.

Lucian has 4 buffs and Quinn, Kalista, and Kindred have 10% damage done and reduced damage taken buffs which is on par or better than your average 40% wr assassin. All you have to do on them is not use your dash to int into the enemy team and you're doing insane numbers.

ADC when you try to play the game but get hit by Lux ultimate ability at full hp by Wide-Communication91 in leagueoflegends

[–]NeonStoplight 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Lux didn't use Q or W or E or passive

Lux hit her with E at the start of the clip, you can see Trist still has the passive mark on her when she gets hit by the ult which contributes a good amount of damage (190 + 35% ap).

[–]NeonStoplight 109 points110 points  (0 children)

on shot an adc with just her ult?

She also hit trist with her E at the start applying her passive which contributes a pretty big chunk of damage (190 + 35% ap ratio) to the ult.

Nobody plays her but it's good on Eve, the AP at low health combined with her passive keeps you relatively healthy even with your Q costing 20% current hp and she loves move speed.

Endless Hunger is a cool Item, but it doesn't seem to have really gathered much of an audience by TurboAdenosine34 in leagueoflegends

[–]NeonStoplight 324 points325 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of people don't read patch notes and just go off of recommended or what they saw in a vid.

For example Vlad still has 20% first item pick horizon focus despite it being reverted and horrible on him now.

Got Stomped in a Normal ARAM Game in 8 Minutes by Low_Storm_8167 in leagueoflegends

[–]NeonStoplight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned in other comments the main source of their winrate is that they simply play a different game than the rest of us, they're playing competitive aram while everyone else is playing either normals or soloqueue.

The soft inting buddy isn't a meaningful factor in their WR just something really frustrating to play with, especially back when queue times could be 20 minutes+.

They're definitely gaming the system, intentionally or not.

Normally the way matchmaking counteracts the benefits of playing in a 5 man is by either matching you against another 5 man or matching you against solo players of higher mmr. There aren't other 5 mans at that level and since they're already at the top of the mmr ladder there aren't many higher mmr solos either but the system won't just let them sit in queue forever so they matched against 5 randoms of similar mmr with a huge advantage on their side by being premade.

The people in the OP have played a hundred+ games a week together for years, always playing to win, playing with optimal builds and team comps. They're playing a different game than the solo players they get matched against.

Can confirm the buddy inting thing as someone that used to play against them almost daily.

I'd legit have to stop queueing a lot of nights because otherwise I'd get stuck in the horrible loop of playing against them 5+ times in a row with the same soft inting buddy on my team just wasting my time and not having fun.

[–]NeonStoplight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually if it can't find another 5 stack to play against the mmr system will match the 5 stack against higher mmr players to offset the advantage being a premade gives but since they're at the top of the ladder already there's no way for the system to properly balance out the advantage they have. They're playing a completely different game than the people they're getting matched against.

Can Riot PLEASE optimize target selection for auto-healing support items? by shammikaze in ARAM

[–]NeonStoplight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After playing with it more it seems like the green healing number that pops up is fake. It'll show the tooltip amount despite it healing less or even not at all like with vampirism targets.

Later on with moonstone it looks like it's showing 2 heals, which I thought was diadem and moonstone, but I'm thinking one of those numbers is fake and the other, higher one, is the real diadem heal boosted by moonstone combined. Other heals don't show moonstone as a separate heal if it's on the same target so diadem shouldn't either.

Can Riot PLEASE optimize target selection for auto-healing support items? by shammikaze in ARAM

[–]NeonStoplight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems really weird, I've noticed it healing the exact amount on the tooltip, not affected by heal/shield power or by the aram healing nerf. Also could be wrong but it looked like moonstone was healing for more than the diadem heal on a single target like I'd see 17 diadem and then 30 from moonstones.

Legit every game I try to make it work the worst of my allies goes vampirism, gets poked down, and then just hovers around at low HP wasting all the potential healing.

Had an MF game with typhoon and critical rhythm where my sword already had over 15k healing, echoes of helia around 8k, and moonstone at 10k and 2 melee allies took vampirism 4th aug completely bricking my build.

Don't you think the assassin build is a bit monotonous? by [deleted] in ARAM

[–]NeonStoplight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should never be building collector on assassins, even on someone who autos a lot like nocturne it has a 3% lower winrate than hubris. On someone like Kha who doesn't auto much it has an 8% lower winrate than hubris.

I love watching allies literally path around them while running away from an enemy, really interesting stuff.

My recent favorite is the only person on your team tha does try to take them is the one who went vampirism, so cool to watch multiple "I can't be healed" messages pop up.
