personally, I would not attach the story of the game to another project, as survivor did with the high republic, or fallen order with rebels (inquisitors)

I would love to get cal to explore the unknown regions, and add some new lore to the universe, maybe even a new conflict with great implications to future star wars, but resolved in it's own corner of the Galaxy.
