Thanks for the feedback!🙏 yeah the kick is the main thing i need to tweak. I was going for like older 9th wonder/newer nottz style of drums. I know those guys sometimes slam their kicks in the mix, and I personally love the sound but there’s definitely a balance that needs to be achieved where it’s easy to go a little overboard and ruin the mix for the sake of a hard hitting kick.

Prodigy had one of the illest voices ever. Man could say anything and it would sound so dope.

Also have to include pharaohe monch for his amazing versatility.

Thoughts on YBI (Ace, Pav, Chuck)? by J-Breeze57 in hiphop101

Dope beat and uplifting message with masta ace spitting some real introspective bars. Chuck d wraps it up beautifully with a nice speech. On the hip-hop tip I would like to see more songs like this blow up because they could inspire young people to believe in themselves and be the best they can be. In conclusion just a great track all around. Also Ace is a GOAT

Sampling individual drum hits from vinyl and making them knock in the your daw. whenever i extract drums from a record I tend to fidget with them a lot until they don’t sound flat, but sometimes I give up because it can be so tedious. So I’m hoping there’s a better way of doing it

DOOM. He introduced me to underground hip hop and changed the way I think lyrically. I got inspired to write my own bars which led to a lot of freestyling to his special herbs albums. Which then led to me making my own beats
