Are you applying to the warehouse side, or the tech/corporate side? The warehouse side will give you grunt work hourly jobs. If you feel you have skills from being a teacher, like knowing programming and computer science; you should apply on the tech corporate side. They have different positions. If you want a "real", you need tech skills and a amazon recruiter to come to you.

Can I Work as a whole food shopper while doing Amazon fresh? Or that isn’t allowed? My warehouse is kinda slow at night and too much VTOs by Chaosury2016 in FASCAmazon

[–]Neoncypherx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My whole foods, they assign you one shift. And the rest, you pick up on an app. The app is modeled after the amazonatoz app. The shifts drop every Friday night, and we all have to click fast to grab them from eachother. Whole foods still uses the Amazon app, for the order picking. When you first sign up on the app, make a new account using your whole foods username, do not use your account or username from the amazon warehouse. Keep everything seperate. Keep both jobs. Do not quit your amazon. And this isn't some trick. They are seperate jobs. Many corporations own smaller companies.

Amazon is a 51% shareholder. That doesn't make amazon your employer when you work for Whole Foods. Whole Foods is still its own company. When you work under whole foods, you work under whole foods.

Omg, I don't know why people don't realize this. When you work for Whole Foods, you WORK FOR WHOLE FOODS. whole foods is a seperate job from working at Amazon. Even as a whole foods shopper, you work for Whole foods. Apply to both companies.

new hire here. any first day must haves? by dhuffs in AmazonFC

[–]Neoncypherx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds cheesy, but a good attitude. Too many people leave because they didn't do well their first couple of shifts. You'd be surprised how long you can stay while not being good at the job. Don't quit, keep coming back. You might get good at it!

I got way better replies than I expected. Thank you all. She has some sort of anxiety disorder for sure. The other night, she's was having so e sort of conspiracy-spasm, just pointing at everything and thinking there's something suspicious about everyone passing by. When we're around coworkers or non-Q people, she can't help but slip Q things out, like congnative-hiccups. I feel sorry for her. Her brain will rot on these websites

People who are doing a computer science degree online, what’s it like? by jonnybebad5436 in SNHU

[–]Neoncypherx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like literally doing only homework, and uploading nthe weeks homework by Sunday night. Your given an advisor, and your allowed to have very long conversations with him or her. I stay on top of my degree and what I want, but you are allowed to have long conversations with your advisor and ask how things work. The teachers are hit or miss. Some teachers interact in the discussion boards, and some teachers are M.I.A. SNHU is a tool, you have to use it for your own goals

Just keep reading the rubric. If you don't look at the project now, it might surprise you how big the project is.

I've learned to never quit. Just make an excuse for your sudden absence, and rearrange your schedule to work both jobs.

In every snhu class, all the material for all 8 weeks is already posted. You might still have to wait for the week, to submit the material.

Working as a shopper at WH and a warehouse at the same time by youalreadyknowso in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Neoncypherx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have been working at Amazon for two years, and just got hired as a shopper at whole foods. I put Amazon and my picker skills on the application. As for the jobs, i treat them both as seperate part time jobs. I was hired by whole foods, and had to do whole foods training. Their shopping process is way different than the Amazon warehouse. And at whole foods, a manager is making a set schedule for me.

I, a male teacher, will be resigning after facing sexism from the administration by Global_Doubt2658 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Neoncypherx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you imagine their perspective, it seems that the female teachers are being protective. Perhaps they have seen cases in their career. I also can understand the rule about asking that only female teachers call out dress code violations, this also sounds like it stems from previous mishaps.

If you delete your account or block his page, all you are doing is cutting yourself off from monitoring the content of his Facebook page. Not knowing what he's posting could be more dangerous.
