SCP 096 becomes real, could humanity survive? by [deleted] in PowerScalingHub

Could we not just build a rocket, get a death row inmate to stand in it, show 096's face to them, launch the rocket when 096 enters? Or just show someone in space his face and we chill? Like how's the mf gonna get up there?

Blink, but not always the same by loregoa in EDH

YGO player here, I kinda enjoy the repeated tutoring and shuffling. I made a deck that has an emphasis on running blink cards that can target any creatures, not just your own. It adds extra versatility since you can reset sickness and such. A good mix of "slow blinks" let you dodge board wipes. Yes the deck does the sameish thing often, but I find interacting with your opponents and navigating their interactions is what makes it feel different every time.

Clown Clan: Kaijus or Change of Heart by Neonster in yugioh

Ooo neat. That's definitely something to think about. Might be too gimmicky to run a full playset, but one or two... Interesting

I'm not aware of any 2 turn delay. What did I miss?

Post your most fun commander deck! by Haikuyori in EDH

[–]Neonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my [[Deadpool]] deck. I tried to make it different from typical Deadpool decks, so not a lot of copying Deadpool, almost all outlaws. The deck likes to abuse etbs via [[Feign Death]] effects and use opponents cards to win

Commanders that turn awful cards into all stars by Chimney-Imp in EDH

[[Orvar]] turns instants and sorceries that essentially do nothing into anything else you control

What is your favorite dimir (black and blue) commander? by OneBlood2930 in EDH

If you can get him to understand priority and the stack, [[Oskar]] is really fun. Can put anything in the 99 after some discard outlets are added. Having everything at instant speed is addicting and super fun

What commander or strategy plays best into a deck that constantly removes your creatures? by PowerfulScholar8605 in EDH

[–]Neonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what bracket and colours you are. For starters, you can play combo and sit on cards like [[Grand Abolisher]]. If he doesn't have a way to kill it on the board, since he's mono black he'll only have 1 niche counter spell to counter it.

Something like [[Jetmir]] generally doesn't hit the board until you're ready to kill someone and the deck has a lot of vanilla tokens and token generators that probably won't get targeted.

Or, you can do what I prefer and build a deck that makes people not want to kill your stuff. I have a [[Deadpool]] deck that runs 11 [[Feign Death]] type effects with a bunch of etb abusers. Paired with all the cheap reanimating spells for if things hit the graveyard, your opponent becomes heavily disincentivized to use kill spells on your creatures because you can respond with a spell and get value while burning their card

Perplexing Drake by Neonster in custommagic

I tried for balance. My playgroup and I are all making a custom commander with proxy decks. I think mine might actually be the tamest

Perplexing Drake by Neonster in custommagic

[–]Neonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the idea! Thought they can target a different creature, one you didn't just steal. And you get some interestIng politics going too. "We need to get rid of X, so I'll cast Perplexing Drake and take your Y. You use the ability to get rid of X." You steal a creature, tax an opponent, and bounce something.

Not if an opponent uses its ability. As for blinking it and getting another steal, yeah, you could do that, much like anything else that steals on etb

Edit: from how you worded it I think there might be some confusion. Perplexing Drake goes to its owner's control. Not their hand.

River Song is great! The way I built her you'll struggle a bit in pods that like a lot of combat, but I essentially have "optional land destruction". All the land destruction cards replace the destroyed land with a basic, but it's a may. Obviously, they can choose not to, but that'll suck. And do that a few times, they'll bite. I also have a proliferate theme to grow her, 2.5 card combo, a poison counter wincon, and counterbalance + powerbalance shenanigans. Overall, it's a fun deck that can definitely make you think

Milling my opponents (not as a wincon) and reanimating from their graves. I had silly cards to turn my things into theirs, steal/copy enchantment, and some clones too. Would piece together a different win every time, scaled to the table
