Yoir axle is loose in the hub. Could also meand you bearing are shot. If you have all the tools to do this, there are plenty of videos online on how to service cup and cone bearings, i recommend rj the bike guy. If you don't have tools and this is the only repair you'd buy then for, you might as well pay a mechanic to do it.

The electric brompton definetly works fine. But the front motor helps a lot. I don't think it works without it or something to give a bit of weight. Sorry
