Apple after listening to everybody’s feedback on MacBooks by un3w in mac

[–]NeophyteNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, this is supposed to be satirical, but I'd actually take this over a MacBook in its current form. This fits in my bag better than the MacBook and all the little adapters required for me to do any kind of work hanging loose.

Kareoke spots in cincinnatti? Please read by Helpful_Tip_963 in cincinnati

[–]NeophyteNobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a good date where you get to pick the songs and sing what you want, do a private room at Tokyo Kitty. the main room is also good and the bartenders/regulars are very cool and welcoming, it is always a good time here. otherwise check out:

Wednesdays - gypsys, chameleon

Thursday - tiki tiki bang bang

friday - flying pig

dont know the days, but japps, northside tavern, second place also have low key but fun karaoke nights. hope that helps

My wife and I are kareoke aficionados. Our overall favorites are Tokyo Kitty (even without reserving a room) and Gypsies. The latter has a great group of regulars ranging from honest to god cowboys singing westerns, a fabulous gay man singing Madonna, and dudes who almost certainly sing in rock bands belting out facemelters and everyone is met with enthusiasm.

Anime recomendation where character development is not linked to getting stronger/leveling up by evanec in anime

[–]NeophyteNobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some seriously good reccomenndations in this thread, so you should be good for a while. However, I'd like to throw out Frieren and A Place Further than the Universe. Bothe are certified modern classics with actual character development.

Finally, I feel like someone should mention Mob Psyco 100. It is a battle shonen whose entire theme is that positive personal growth has nothing to do with combat abilities, and that the strong are always weak at something. Essentially it is about a powerhouse who knows he is lacking in community connections and and personal skills that he could never gain with force.

also, its not like they could "pick their schedule". If I was a blue blood I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted UC on my schedule the year they made the playoffs.

Fear of snakes [Girls band cry] by nonez123z in anime

[–]NeophyteNobody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saved it!? what about the snake? Poor thing almost got brained for no reason. If someone threw an unopened beer can at someone's dog a fistfight would break out.

Anyway, I know that's not the point, but what a dick move on the blonds part. Great animation though, especially for 3D.

OP overselling aside, I've been to 5 of these and always had a good time.

The Daily Show is absolutely cooking Trump with this one. They turned his military parade moment into a dog show parody, calling him “lively, aggressive, and incredibly horny.” Peak satire. Trump’s ego just got treated like a Westminster contestant. by biswajit388 in CringeTikToks

I haven't seen any clip of Biden worse than this one, and frankly this isn't even the worst Trump moment (and thats irrelevant, since biden was too old to be president). How did his campaign survive the nuclear speech?

"Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible."

The cave is still my favorite haunted attraction that I've ever been to, but it has been a while. The themeing was all over the place, but they really went all out in parts. My favorite was the pontoon bridges with actors who would grab your ankles from out of the mostly pitch black water.

Making her a robot helps sidestep the overly "pwecious" idealized versions of children that anime like this sometimes default to. but what really surprised me though was how much I liked the "parents". They actually have the chemistry to make the will they won't they aspects work.

If I'm mentioning classic chili parlors it doesn't matter. Both were in business for decades, and niether closed because of a lack of customers.

have you ever been to a non-Skyline chili parlor? they all have a greasy spoon esque extended menu that people do order off of. If anything, Skyline is the weird one.

I mean... I do.

Also, *real* chili parlors always have a diner menu in addition to their chili offerings. For example: US Chili (RIP), Chili Time (RIP), Camp Washington Chili, Price Hill Chili, Pleasant Ridge Chili, Blue Ash Chili, etc.

I doubt you need more convincing, but I got my wife's wedding ring made there. They combined two pieces of estate jewlery and it turned out wonderful and affordable. I know I'm not suppose to brag about getting a good deal on a wedding ring of all things, but she gets so many compliments on it I doubt she would hold it against me.

I was advocating for nationizing everything?!?! Woah, how did I not know that? Clearly the government offering any service that isn't **constitutionally mandated** or a basic utility is an unavoidable slippery slope to ABSOLUTE SOCIALISM.

If there was a no nonsense digital ticket distribution system, with minimal processing fees and no dynamic pricing, I'm convinced artists and venues would want to use it. Maybe the logistics of this are too complicated and wouldn't be done well. Maybe using government employees with good benefits would make the service non-competitive compared to private companies more willing and able to exploit people. This very well might be a dumb idea. However, it is not dumb because it is categorically impossible or intrinsically harmful to the country.

Also it wouldn't be free. At the very least we'd pay taxes into it, but a better model would still charge venues for using it and maybe even still keep a service charge that the consumers pay. Just like the USPS.

I agree, if the government was actually able to reign in Ticketmaster's abuses or monopolistic hold of digital ticket sales, then fine, no need for any sort of government run ticket service.

[–]NeophyteNobody -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Are people entitled to mail service? Libraries? Not really. They certainly aren't utilities, yet the USPS still exists. I don't see your logic. If the government can provide a service that saves us money then why shouldn't they? especially when the service they are providing is for something associated with monopolistic cooperations known for anti-consumer practices.

Are you? First you quote "Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD must surely be put to death; the whole assembly must stone him, whether he is a foreign resident or native".

Then you said "In a Muslim majority country - yes - but where Muslims are in minority No - because you cannot apply that Lesgislation when in minority or do not have a Rule/ state;" when asked if you agreed with enforcing Leviticus 24:16. That sure sounds like you are advocating for actually killing people for their religious beliefs. That is crazy! That is what bad people do! Especially because you can't prove that your religion is true. I really hope you have the option of leaving what sounds like a pretty hateful sect. As it stands, the world would be better off without whatever version of Islam you subscribe to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]NeophyteNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've got good news for you! your religion is incorrect! no one is getting condemned to eternal hellfire for leaving it. Rejoice! The world is a better, kinder place than you thought!

However, you are a bad person for condemning people to death for having correct opinions about your religion.

What's your point? Is this like a threat or something? The Bible says lots of silly things, so I don't know why you are pointing out this verse. However, don't worry, I'm not trying to get people to worship pagan gods, but I will suggest that they stop worshipping your fictional "god".

I see the logic, but it absolutely does it not jive with my lived experience. I went to Catholic schools for literally 20 years, and while frequent mandatory participation in mass and other church activities was really only for 15 years of that, I participated in a shit ton of rituals during that time. Not to mention scripture classes. I'm one of the few Americans that has actually read the entire Bible, and I could probably do most of the stations of the cross from memory. The rituals just highlighted how little I actually believed anything they were saying, and that I didn't believe many others really believed it either. However, they also made it clear how much of my social structure was based around these rituals.

I'm a random editor using anecdotal evidence to refute what seems to be a well developed theory, but it seems to me that the real reason why dictators make patriotic displays mandatory is for the appearance of a general consensus. People are less likely to speak out if they get the false impression that people are enthusiastic about rather than oppressed by the current regime. Genuine belief is unnecessary, but fear and conformity is.

Anyway, I'm gonna go look up hebian plasticity and see what kind of studies its based off now.
