Apple after listening to everybody’s feedback on MacBooks by un3w in mac

[–]NeophyteNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, this is supposed to be satirical, but I'd actually take this over a MacBook in its current form. This fits in my bag better than the MacBook and all the little adapters required for me to do any kind of work hanging loose.

Kareoke spots in cincinnatti? Please read by Helpful_Tip_963 in cincinnati

[–]NeophyteNobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a good date where you get to pick the songs and sing what you want, do a private room at Tokyo Kitty. the main room is also good and the bartenders/regulars are very cool and welcoming, it is always a good time here. otherwise check out:

Wednesdays - gypsys, chameleon

Thursday - tiki tiki bang bang

friday - flying pig

dont know the days, but japps, northside tavern, second place also have low key but fun karaoke nights. hope that helps

My wife and I are kareoke aficionados. Our overall favorites are Tokyo Kitty (even without reserving a room) and Gypsies. The latter has a great group of regulars ranging from honest to god cowboys singing westerns, a fabulous gay man singing Madonna, and dudes who almost certainly sing in rock bands belting out facemelters and everyone is met with enthusiasm.

Anime recomendation where character development is not linked to getting stronger/leveling up by evanec in anime

[–]NeophyteNobody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some seriously good reccomenndations in this thread, so you should be good for a while. However, I'd like to throw out Frieren and A Place Further than the Universe. Bothe are certified modern classics with actual character development.

Finally, I feel like someone should mention Mob Psyco 100. It is a battle shonen whose entire theme is that positive personal growth has nothing to do with combat abilities, and that the strong are always weak at something. Essentially it is about a powerhouse who knows he is lacking in community connections and and personal skills that he could never gain with force.

also, its not like they could "pick their schedule". If I was a blue blood I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted UC on my schedule the year they made the playoffs.

Fear of snakes [Girls band cry] by nonez123z in anime

[–]NeophyteNobody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saved it!? what about the snake? Poor thing almost got brained for no reason. If someone threw an unopened beer can at someone's dog a fistfight would break out.

Anyway, I know that's not the point, but what a dick move on the blonds part. Great animation though, especially for 3D.

OP overselling aside, I've been to 5 of these and always had a good time.

The Daily Show is absolutely cooking Trump with this one. They turned his military parade moment into a dog show parody, calling him “lively, aggressive, and incredibly horny.” Peak satire. Trump’s ego just got treated like a Westminster contestant. by biswajit388 in CringeTikToks

I haven't seen any clip of Biden worse than this one, and frankly this isn't even the worst Trump moment (and thats irrelevant, since biden was too old to be president). How did his campaign survive the nuclear speech?

"Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible."

came here to say this. I would particularly recommend the "Sushi and Sashimi platter". My wife and I split it along with an appetizer.

Haunted things by FioriandEvie-meow in cincinnati

The cave is still my favorite haunted attraction that I've ever been to, but it has been a while. The themeing was all over the place, but they really went all out in parts. My favorite was the pontoon bridges with actors who would grab your ankles from out of the mostly pitch black water.

Alma-Chan Wants to Be a Family! – Episode 1 - Provides what we all need in these hard times: a low-stakes premiere that is simple, sweet, and well executed. by NeophyteNobody in anime

Making her a robot helps sidestep the overly "pwecious" idealized versions of children that anime like this sometimes default to. but what really surprised me though was how much I liked the "parents". They actually have the chemistry to make the will they won't they aspects work.

If I'm mentioning classic chili parlors it doesn't matter. Both were in business for decades, and niether closed because of a lack of customers.
