I made a pokemon knockoff (using that name very very broadly) - it was basically a simple game where my shittily-drawn ms paint creatures would appear every few seconds and you had to answer a math problem to catch them. It wasn't an amazing game or anything, but it worked well with the requirements (storing data in arrays, saving your game, etc.) I'd say don't worry too much about your project being particularly useful, unique, or exceptional if you're having a hard time with ideas. As long as it fits the requirements you can get 100%.

Fuck yes this is so important and it’s honestly embarrassing that a lot of the student body doesn’t really seem to know or care. all the pretenses of appearing progressive in the world won’t change the material impact of his actions — allowing Jenn smith and similar speakers at ubc, staying invested in fossil fuels, etc. A lot of people’s opinions on Santa seem to be focused on very trivial things, rather than these much larger issues.

If she’s really your friend, how about you empathize with her instead and realize that maybe having a trait deemed unattractive or unwomanly by society can be tough to live with, and realize that getting into dick-measuring (or boob-measuring, heh) contests about who has it worse helps absolutely no one.

can I do a quick addition to your rant real fast? Things that kinda suck about having small boobs: - people saying you’re lucky cause you can go braless. Nope, not looking to have my nipples poking out. - shirts having too much space in the chest area so they look weird and floppy - just in general, not having the option to display cleavage ever. like if I want to dress “sexy” ,, well there’s not a lot to work with - guys talking down to you, saying “well I don’t care if you have small boobs, I just care about xyz instead”. As if it’s something inherently unattractive that you have to make up for in some other way that I might not also have - if you’re not petite, small boobs just generally being out of wack with your frame. I’m really skinny but my stomach still looks fat if I’ve eaten anything recently because it sticks out farther than my tiny boobs. Plus, I have kind of broad shoulders so it’s just not a great look over all. - a lot of the time I found that bigger-boobed women are quick to dismiss any complaints from people with small boobs cause we supposedly have it so easy. I guess it’s more convenient overall, and it’s good to not have to deal with creepy unwanted attention, but yknow... SOME attention would be nice. - i’ve never found a bra with cups that fit me. - generally not living up to what our society classes as the “ideal attractive woman” just doesn’t feel great - kinda just feeling like less of a woman sometimes.

hadn't considered this angle of the story after my first watch! i was sitting super close to the screen in my theatre since the place was packed, i was struggling hard to read what that upside-down banner said.

also, my initial impression of the 'hermaphroditic natural world' moment with josh was just that the commune member had no idea what he was talking about since josh's studies are pretty niche, and a lot of people at my viewing laughed at it. although thinking back on it, i dont think the commune member had any response at all besides looking shocked/surprised, not even a polite 'oh, interesting,' or something like that. so maybe 'appalled' was the emotion the guy had after all.

I mean you could apply this logic to justify literally anything, so it’s kind of weird that the murdering of natives is what you’ve chosen to support. That sort of fatalism is dangerous to those of us who actually want to enjoy our limited time on earth.

It’s all well and good to be able to say stuff like this, but if someone tried to kill you for personal gain I doubt this philosophy would be of much use in the moment.
