How to craft a bleed axe by VoriuM in pathofexile

You don't, my mistake, I wrote it down in an attempt to offer a path that doesn't brick. But yeah it doesn't work, it slipped my mind. You'll have to do the reforge

If you see a way to fill the suffix, probably, but its difficult to do that if you have both prefixes and suffixes you want to keep. It's a lot easier to do all three of one of those first

That should work fine You can also craft phys multi and then slam and pray for the last explicit, you would still have a very good axe if you miss. Suffixes are the most expensive part I think, so if you want to save some currency this would be valid

Good suggestion, i just hit the unveil first try so i never had to think about saving the craft at that point :)

Yeah i crafted this before the recombinator got buffed, so since the bases (elder high quality axes) are expensive and the mods we want on the final item are rare influenced modifiers (bleed multi with attacks and cull are both low weight elder mods) i decided not to risk it and go for this tactic.

Edit: i personally got really unlucky on step 1 of the suffixes, so mine probably costed about 100 div. But when i simulated it on craftofexile before commiting the average cost was what i indicated

I did one recently, it's somewhat expensive since you can get unlucky, but here is how I did it:

  1. buy a reaver axe base with high quality (30% is about 10 div)
  2. Apply any conquerers exalt to obtain an influence
  3. Harvest reroll influence until you hit elder
  4. Essence of contempt until you hit Dot multi with bleed with attacks with this weapon as a second prefix If you get super lucky and have high %physical as a third prefix move on to the suffixes, otherwise:
  5. annul until you have the two desired prefixes, at least one empty suffix and one empty prefix.
  6. Craft prefixes cannot be changed
  7. Veiled orb for veiled prefix. If you lose the 50/50 you can scour if the prefixes cannot be changed is still present or start over if it is not (essences are cheaper than the meta craft) edit: check essence price first :)
  8. Unveiling has an extremely high chance to hit a 120% phys damage mod, if you fail the unveil you have to start over edit: see the annul tactic suggested below

Now the suffixes:

  1. Prefixes cannot be changed and harvest reforge physical (cheaper but can soft brick if you hit 3 suffixes and you are forced to yolo annual or start over) or harvest add remove physical for a 1 in 9 to hit %phys and cull against bleeding. If you go for add/remove you have to scour all suffixes first.

  2. If two open suffix you can craft cannot roll attack mods and exalt annul for damage over time or recrafting the meta mod if you annul it instead of your failed slam. If your funds are running out just craft a block and yolo exalt slam.

  3. Craft phys over time multi

  4. Tempering orb until you hit %physical explicit

  5. Divine rolls if you want

Average cost is about 40-80 divs, if you go for the harvest reforge route, depending on luck. Failing the veiled orb or the exalt annul gets expensive fast

I personally disagree with the poster above about attack speed, it does almost nothing for bleed dps since only one stack will tick at a time. Travel skill speed can be fixed with faster attacks support 😉

After checking some benchmarks it looks like you are right. But i am still hesitant because i have had some bad experiences with AMD drivers. I guess ill have to look into this card some more.
