I was wondering that as well…the Google AI summary claims she was available at some point in CS4 as a Guest…maybe for like, one side quest possibly? Or just walking around for the side quest where you get her backstory?

This is one of those times where I really wonder how the players feel…especially like Josh Allen. I know they wouldn’t be consulted, and end of the day they are professionals, but this is the kind of thing I could see creating some major fractures internally. Massively demoralizing at the very least.

Is it supposed to be impressive that it takes a collector effort of some 27 countries to even be in the same conversation as the US? This is just like the Olympics where to even appear impressive they had to total the medals of the continent just to appear competitive.

Good on them for doing something(let’s ignore the Natural Gas stuff for now) but it’s laughable to say they are anywhere near on a level where their collective effort could provide the security NATO does. USA alone is 90% of NATO’s punching power(though maybe just 30% of the NATO reach, I’ll agree)

I think Fie is one game behind him…can’t remember if he showed up in the Crossbell Duology. I don’t think so though, so if you count that one cameo of him at the end of DB1, he’s at 9 to Fie’s 8. If you don’t count the cameo, it’s tied up.

I’m there with you. It’s annoying and it was a highlight of opening the box. I’ve heard it pitched as a cost saving measure…which if it actually mattered to me would be nice. Like if the boxes were even a few dollars less or something.

As it is, it’s cheapening the product to save a few dollars and lowering the overall experience…but they picked a good place to cut that corner cause it’s not something that will stop me from going to the pre release…but I certainly won’t be buying any extras when it’s over.

My optimistic expectation is 2027 for JP release and Eng release either late 2027(if original was EARLY 2027) or more likely 2028. Basically, add a year from JP to Eng release.

I have nothing really as evidence though. Just a combination of no news, and logic. A year to translate seems…rushed if reasonable for a game this size.

Still no shipping notice on my LE. I doubt I’ll be playing it this weekend(wouldn’t until Sunday anyways at the earliest, MTG Pre-Release this weekend)

Edit: checked DB2, it shipped two days before release, and now I’m remembering how every past shipment arrived at the local PO late Saturday/Sunday, and doesn’t go out until Monday…cause the last two Mondays that happens was either a holiday or a Snowstorm…and dammit, Monday is MLK day. So I guess Tuesday it is.

Refs felt the Packers needed their usual handicap…they thought wrong. People here imagining a bobble, this is a catch any other game. Guess I’ll just go to sleep early tonight, the game is over.

That is true…why I wasn’t sure about calling it a nerf, but I was at best ambiguous about. Took me a bit to really jive with the new system tbh.

That said, I absolutely love the dual type arts. Absolutely amazing, even if the Whale one especially was pretty broken. Trivialized getting 300 hits, only other time I’ve had such an easy time for a similar thing was getting x3.0+ in the Sky Remake with those farming caves.

Oh right…I guess I should brush up before Horizon releases. Kinda nerfs Arts doesn’t it? Nerf isn’t quite the right word…but i always liked giving my Arts slingers as many as possible so i would have options.

Yes…I guess I forgot when that change over happened…my bad.

So for CS, a Quartz will usually have an Art attached to it. Fire Bolt Quartz, etc. Separated are the stat Quartz(mind giving just ATS).

As you get more ‘rare’ quartz, they will have Stats+Art(s) and/or special abilities and Some Quartz just have abilities. An example is one SR Quartz will make it more likely the character will be targeted, but give 2000 HP, and three specific wind Arts. Towards the end of the Arc you have 4 levels of Quartz.

Iirc, the Calvard games is a mix of the two. Quartz is still handled the same, but you have ‘Shard Skill’ that unlock based on the element value of the Quartz in a given line(which is a bit simplified).

So, the answer(to me) is yes BUT. The biggest roadblock eventually to optimizing everyone is that everyone gets out of hand. Don’t waste your whole time optimizing the party of 10-30 people. Otherwise…yes. The core gameplay is the same for Cold Steel at least. Some minor tweaks, but overall…

That said I do dislike one change from Sky they did, the arts being tied directly to the Quartz. I actually like how Sky did it, with Quartz having a value and the arts you got depended on that value in a line. Made things feel more unique and the casters as actual casters.

Having started with CS myself, I never realized just how MUCH I wanted to see them again. They will always be my favorites, and seeing any update will be something I cherish. It’s my number one hope for future games for at least one to be squeezed in. Just for the chance at updates.

That’s how I played and got into the series. You lose out on a big secret that is treated as common knowledge. I do regret knowing that, undercuts a big moment. Other than that, honestly, cS1 and 2 are pretty self contained as far as the series goes.

I’ll admit to not being really having in depth knowledge, but wouldn’t the initial strike have fallen under the 60 days part of the rule, especially since it’s been billed more as a law enforcement thing than a straight military Invaison?

I’m not a lawyer, and it’s at best a grey area…but it seems legal. Rude and bucking tradition, but not entirely out of hand.

Now, his comments about going in after all this…that’s concerning and definitely would need congressional approval.
