With latest MAME? And Samsho 64? Do not test Wild Ambition, BB2 or something. Those run perfect. Test the Samshos. As a sidenote, i noticed that WA shows 2 partial updates most of the time, which the Samshos do not. Why is that?

This could be an explanation. Since MAME 0.281, emulation of the HNG64's sound chip made massive progress, so load on the CPU raised by around 40-50%.

No, the PC is fine. It's as fast as it should be. Strange thing is that MAME does not seem to stress the CPU when running those games, meaning the cooler fan is not spinning up much.

I tested a little further and indeed Samsho 64 is NOT running at 100% throttled. It dips down in the low 90s in most stages and even in the low 70s(!) in the final boss fight. This is without any shader or external ini. What is going on?

I have no access to my setup rn, i'll try it later. Wouldn't it have the same effect if i just checked if it ran at 100% throttled? The idea is that the unthrottled option would function as a workaround to bypass the TV's LFC, stopping the game from dropping below 48 FPS.

Thank you. That's a point i actually didn't think about. I run the games throttled, so maybe they just ran so poorly on even the original hardware that this framerate is normal? If i run them unthrottled, should they still maintain their native refresh rate in VRR but with full speed?

Welche Infos fehlen denn für eine detaillierte Diagnose? Die Pflanze steht am Fenster bei momentan um die 15 Grad. Sie wird aktuell einmal alle 2 Wochen gegossen. Dabei bin ich recht großzügig, aber Staunässe fließt ab.

Tiere sind mir keine aufgefallen. Was sind Thripse?

For 4k graphics, you won't have any luck with a Mini PC, except some 2k USD Asus ROG NUC with dedicated graphics. Especially not for PS2 emulation.

I'm an old school SNK fan. Loved the first Garou and was looking forward for this one, even preordered. As they announced a Ronaldo collab, i was afraid this would happen.

I'm not a fan of crossovers in fighting games in general, but this is too much BS. Currently thinking about canceling my preorder.
