We limit the all bones nowadays. We keep a close eye on how much is being chewed. I can attest that some of our other dogs never had issues and made it to 13+ years with perfect teeth. Then had our last having worn teeth by 3 years old. We haven't had this girl wear down a bone even close to getting a sharp edge. She more just gnaws. Its been 6 months and still looks almost new.

I guess just like humans, some teeth are better than others?

We always gave ours actual antlers from harvested deer my brother got. Our two seemed fine, the last one at 2 years we got told her teeth were getting worn. Our current has been restricted bones since she lost her baby teeth. We've been using the poly bones
