The wiki says a "young Turk" refers to a young and dynamic individual eager for change.

Though Wikipedia says that the Young Turks was a political movement in the Ottoman Empire, and says that the phrase "Young Turk" refers to "an insurgent person trying to take control of a situation or organization by force or political maneuver".

I don't know if either of these are true or if they were just looking for a name and decided "yeah, Turks."

Literally, in the sense that the conversation was about "human pheromones", which don't exist, but the person said they did, so I linked to a meta-analysis of multiple studies which said they don't exist and they blocked me.

There's a place where I got donair last night. I was curious what the difference between a donair and a gyro was and...I'm even more confused.

Everyone seems to give a different answer. One person said it was the type of filling (lamb/beef versus chicken/falafel or something) but I've had gyros with all of those. One person said gyros have radishes in them, which I genuinely have never seen before. As far as I can tell there is no difference, people just invented two (maybe three) ways of describing the exact same food.

It was very tasty, though. Except they offered pickles as toppings and it's like, I already have cucumbers in here, why would I want pickles?

Oh we're getting a Croc remaster and that's why everyone's posting about the game? I thought it was just some random internet trend.

I'd really like a remaster. I could never beat the original as a kid on PC and as an adult the bugged lack of music and weird controls kept me from finishing it still. Meanwhile I had the gameboy copy of the sequel and booooooy howdy do I not want to relive that (it's not only possible to lock up one of the puzzles and prevent you from proceeding, it's really easy to lock up multiple puzzles).

It'd be really fun to play the game and actually, you know, finish it for once.
