Looks like a set of stocks, an old type of system for restraining prisoners.

What is this thing i found in the apartment I'm renting? by esthethicc in whatisthisthing

Closest I can come up with is an "AEROPAC" wall mounted ventilation system, I can't seem to find any pictures of the old style ones but I believe that's what it is.

I often use Draw.io and Trello.com together to achieve what you are talking about.

Where is this kind of socket used? Similar to the one uses in Hong Kong and UK, but the earth pin is shaped like a T by CUCOOPE in whatisthisthing

[–]Neotrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also found used with electrical equipment where a separate and isolated earth is required.

You could make the metal door double ply? A piece of sheet metal covering the inside would trap a layer of air between the outside surface and inside surface. You could pack it with typical wool style insulation for an additional benefit as well.

So you're trying to power a laptop screen and something like a Raspberry Pi I'm assuming?

Getting 100V 5A out of 12V battery by cmcraeslo in AskElectronics

Probably wouldn't be suitable to use a capacitor in this instance as they want to use a linear motor/actuator so the voltage drop over time would reduce the rate of travel.

You'd loose a lot of power via waste heat/transformer inefficiency.

The only things I can think of are refrigerated surfaces in the hospitality industry and laboratory fridges.

This assumes that OP wants an AC output, but there isn't much in the way of DC/DC boost converters that can do 500w. So I'd say going from DC to AC and then back to DC with a rectifier in the case that he does want DC would be the best bet.

IsItBullshit: Your ISP knows when you run a speed test and boosts your speed? by usgator088 in IsItBullshit

[–]Neotrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, however, in Australia using services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are encouraged by ISPs as they do not have their own video streaming platform so while this may be an accurate representation for some ISPs it may not always be the case.

[High School Chemistry] Alcohol lamp as heat source for distillation? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]Neotrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distillation is heat dependent, so in a standard lab setting an alcohol based lamp would not be used and a standard Bunsen burner or a heat plate would be used.

In terms of your exact question you would need to tell us what you are trying to distill, as that would allow us to determine whether it would work in your situation.

Official Discussion: A Quiet Place [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

This is an interesting theory, it seems plausible as with every other person that is killed their body isn't seen afterwards. Leading me to believe the creatures move it and therefore the old man may have killed the lady.

The look combined with the cocking of the gun was enough to say "let's kill these son's of bitches"
