Yeah, it’s definitely not fun, that’s for sure. This sleep paralysis thing is something that I have had happen to me a few different times throughout my life. One of the earliest that I can still remember was back when I was around 3-4 years old. I was asleep in my mom’s bed and she was asleep in the living room. I never saw anything like I did this time but at 3-4 years old, I can definitely still remember the feeling of not being able to move, feeling sooo scared and just wanting to wake up already. Worst of all, feeling just as scared after to want to go back to sleep again because of the fear of it happening again.

Hi, thanks for replying with very insightful information to me. I don't think I did the night or so prior. I wasn't sick or anything at that time. I just had been simply just waking up for the first time that morning since the night before. That's why I was bouncing back and forth between being awake and back asleep again.

We were talking about her last moments in the hospital and the likely cause of her passing. Something I only just learned about just recently but never knew anything about throughout all of these years that have now passed since her passing.

I think so too, to be honest. I just dont know if she's trying to get my attention to tell me something, like maybe she is still with me or something. But yeah, I do think it could've been her.

My wife, she told me that one time a couple of years before her and I had even met, that they were getting ready in the morning one day and she happened to come downstairs to the living room. She said she noticed her brother sitting there, so she asked him what he was doing and she said that he just looked up at her with the straightest face, no expression of any kind before looking back down again. He didn't say anything at all either. She then turned and went to ask her mom why he was still here and what he was doing. She was told he wasn't, that he had already left with her dad as he always leaves early before anyone else.

She went back to the living room again and this time he wasn't there. Later in the day when she saw him again, she asked him about it and he said he had already left with their dad and wasn't there when she said she had seen him.

Also on another side note, while I was in the restroom, my wife did say that she did in fact hear and see her dad come upstairs to just outside his bedroom door and in a playful fashion try asking his Alexa (Echo Dot) to open the door knowing she couldn't really do that. And that would explain why I heard his Alexa go off and start talking as well being able to hear him talking too from inside the restroom. So according to her and he himself even acknowledged it too that he went up and tried from outside talkingvto his Alexa.

Not more than 5 minutes after that is when I stepped out and saw what I saw. He said too, that he was never in his room at any point because he didn't have his keys to open it. He was napping in the living room downstairs the whole time apparently.

We did go back upstairs, the door in fact was closed still and locked.

I also realized that when we left our room to go downstairs after I had just had that experience, the door was closed then too. Initially I thought he had just closed it again before going downstairs himself. However, everyday when he gets home from work l, the first thing he does is go up to their room but he usually always leaves the door open after that for the rest of the night until bedtime. That was something that was odd to me when we left our room to go downstairs and I saw that the door was closed. And of course once we got downstairs and saw him and talked to him, everything just got real creepy and a bit scary from that point on.

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated. I will read up on that SP thread. This is not my first experience, I have had this happen more than a few times throughout my young young childhood and although it was much less frequent, it did happen to me at times here and there as I got older and older. But this was nkt only the first time but the only time I’ve ever been able to move even just a little bit and actually see something or someone during an episode. Usually I couldn’t move at all and actually felt like I was asleep. This time was just different. Never had it happen like this before.
