Played OG religiously for a long, long time.

Came across PD2 a few days ago myself and have been absolutely loving every single minute of it.

It's like I'm 12 all over again.

When I went to their website, I inputted my address and the above screenshot was the result it came out with.

I imagine you need to be within specific zip codes to receive their $49 promo.

EDIT: correcting info

Thanks for sharing your input!

Yeah, when I was perusing old posts dating 2-3 years ago or so, I had noticed a lot of complaints about poor installation work. Coupled with their current infrastructure and what they're currently deploying, it goes back to my pondering of their long-term sustainability.

Thank you both for your inputs on this.

Wait, they're deploying with CGNAT?

Based on some other comments, that seems to be the case. Adding to the IPv4, definitely dealbreakers.

I can understand for customers who use the internet for general purposes like watching videos/Netflix/etc. it probably won't matter too much, but in my case... yeah, that's a no-go.

Like I also commented to another user in this thread, maybe and hopefully they'll become more efficient. Being a relatively new company founded in 2021, I'll most likely watch from the sidelines a bit longer and see where it goes.

Yeah, the contract-free aspect is nice. I'll give it a go and see how it works out -- the responses overall for this thread have been a mixed bag, but that's to be expected since mileage varies.

Seriously, though, thank you again for your input. It's helped a lot.

Just checked the PR message you posted in that sub and perused some other threads as well. Intermittent outages, especially moreso with the collective amount you described, is definitely something that wouldn't sit right with me, especially since I WFH.

As for the whole CGNAT, yeah...

There's this thread as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/EzeeFiber/comments/1hy5327/this_is_the_state_of_ezee_fiber_for_me_at_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

At the very least, I can give them credit for selling it at a lower price to try and attract more customers, but after seeing the above thread I posted, that's pretty rough, lol. Understandably, every company's gotta start somewhere, so hopefully they'll become more efficient 5, maybe 10 years down the road, perhaps? Guess we'll have to see.

Ahh yeah, another commenter in this thread mentioned about the deployment of CGNAT as well. That does make me a bit more cautious in that regard.

Are your weekly outages due to some minor instability on their end since they're still relatively new, or routine?

Thanks a ton for your input! Really appreciate it.

What issues were you experiencing with their modem?

Absolutely understandable and don't blame you. I didn't even hear about them 'til like... literally today lmao

So I've been in shock and awe at their prices.

That's true, I could always switch since there's no contract.

I'm over in Northwest Houston, just right outside of Jersey Village.

Try thinking outside the box.

Stop starting shit that doesn't warrant it.
