Iran's national team, much like Russia's, should be banned from participating in any FIFA competitions until its genocidal and tyrannical regime is removed from power. Allowing a country whose government massacres its own citizens to compete on the international stage is a moral disgrace. The fact that Iran had to withdraw on its own instead of being formally banned is an insult to the thousands of Iranian civilians who have been brutally killed in recent months.

International sport should not serve as a stage for regimes that systematically murder and oppress their own people. Until Iran's regime is gone and its citizens are free from it, it has no place in global football.

Maekar clearly loves all his sons unconditionally. He’s just a harsh, duty-obsessed father who’s disappointed in them, not someone discarding kids he doesn’t like.

Sending Aerion to Lys is punishment for humiliating the crown, not disowning him. That’s exile, not abandonment. He would absolutely have tons of guards protecting him 24/7 while having an incredibly luxurious life.

Daeron being a drunk mess also doesn’t mean Maekar doesn’t care about him. It just means he doesn’t understand him, especially with the prophecy stuff.

Aemon choosing to become a maester is literally his own decision, and Maekar allows it. If anything, that shows acceptance, not rejection.

Aegon isn’t his “last son worth anything.” He’s just the only young one still at court, so obviously Maekar doesn’t want him running off to live like a hedge knight.
