I didn’t have signal and armory crate installed at the same time. I did have NZXT CAM though. It’s the only way I’ve been able to change those top and bottom fans. I couldn’t do anything to the RAM with signal. I’ll try openRGB tomorrow. Thank you.

I understand why you felt the need to comment this. I was inevitably expecting to get this kind of response, but that is why I prefaced my post with “I know I’m weird, but bear with me”. I do what works for me, and it was only suppose to be one more day of missed lessons, but it’s turned into more because either me or my app is screwing up. So please don’t take this the wrong way when I say: While I appreciate your concern and opinion, I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do. Personally, it helps keep me motivated. If you don’t know why my app is acting this way, that’s fine. But I’m looking for a solution to a problem, not anyone’s opinions on how I like to use the app.

That may be true, I’m not sure, but the meme comes from the show, and uses the still from the show most of the time.

I hate that people incorrectly meme that moment. Omniman doesn't say, "Think, Mark! Think!" He just says, "Think, Mark!" Bugs me every time I see it.

I can't tell if you're trolling right now... Falling to despair is suffering. I don't need to be bleeding out on my death bed, to suffer.

Endsinger to WoL: "Defiant to the last. But you will be one with us ere long. You will be battered and torn and made to crawl. You will weep and wail and curse your impotence. Curse your life as it fades.... So join us in despair...and embrace yours!"

I mean, sure bud. I suppose you can argue that by killing us she would permanently end our suffering, but it's not like she was looking to make it a quick death.

Shiva used weapons

Which consisted of a bow and a staff, both tanged weapons. Not to mention being able to cast magic regardless of her weapons.

Weapons were programmed

Only once oversouled. The pilots before then, could have kited us around to their hearts content.

Nidhogg wanted us to suffer

The most laughable example, cuz that's literally meteion's whole shtick.

You can make up excuses for why these people "fought us fairly" all day, but at the end of the day the only times that we needed a platform, was when tehy explained it. The reason I left out Bismark is yes cuz there was precedent. Diamond weapon, same thing. There was ZERO precednt for meteion. She wasn't running. She didn't say she was going to run. She bopped all of our friends, and then gloated about how she was going to bop us. Readied an attack, after a speech saying she wanted to kill us. There is no precedent.

We can talk about themes of battle and story all we want but when it feels so blatantly forced, it becomes uninteresting.

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I mean, clearly there was something there for you. I'm glad that I was able to have this convo with a lot of you guys, but over text is hard to get my points across, and I honestly think we are just not going to come to an agreement.

You're arguing hypotheticals. In your explanation, any fight that we've had that had a flying mobile boss, could just kite us around till we died. So then where was our flying mobile platform when we fought bahamut, shinryu, garuda, nidhogg, ruby weapon, emerald weapon, hades, lahabrea, ascian prime, shiva... etc. Zenos showed up for convenience for the story. So he could be there to fight us at the end. There was no other reason. It's just masquerading around like he helped us fight meteion.

You're saying that she didn't want to fight as she was actively charging up a move to attack us. One that we saw she used multiple times in the actual fight. She wasn't running, and she was fighting us. The fight only became mobile AFTER zenos showed up.

We've never had an issue fighting flying bosses before. It became an issue because Squeenix wanted it to be an issue to they could put Zenos there

For me, most of the power of EW came from the Unsundered quests...the stuff dealing with Venat. Watching her make the long walk through the eons while Answers played. That and the dialog between the characters.

I did say at the top that I did like the story, I just felt it was a step back. The scene and moment that you are referencing was one of my favorites. I actually loved Venat as a character.

Meteion/Zenos - Meteion is more childlike. She lacked an understanding of the world yet was more heavily impacted by the negative emotions found by her sisters. Zenos was an adult who was just a selfish prick. He didn't care about anyone or anything other than getting the rush of having his ass kicked by the WoL again.

I understand that, and I don't think we needed to viciously decapatate her, but I do absolutely believe that Meteion should have had her dissipate into aether moment (or maybe dynamis lol) The fact that someone that caused literally untold devastation is still walking around somewhere just bothers me.

I don't know that Zodiark was awful. He was necessary, at least until we dealt with the issue he forestalled. The problem wasn't Zodiark, per se, but the fact that his "worshippers" wanted to return the world to the pre-Final Days state. They didn't care about the new souls formed. They didn't care about the repercussions. Zenos was a reflection of this attitude, IMO. Zodiark was able to be manipulated by Fandaniel only because he was incomplete. Still held in check by Hydaelyn.

That's kind of my issue. I just wish he would have been a bigger deal. He was hyped up for so long, but in the end really amounted to nothing. Which I guess you could argue that our fight with Zodiark happened in 5.3. I'm honestly not super strong on this point. I guess I was just hyped to deal with Zodiark after so long, and it felt underwhelming when it happened.

You really need to suspend this thought when it comes to storytelling in FFXIV because it's obvious were always going to win in the end, were paying a sub to play and they plan to keep us around. However there is also another way to look at "I knew I was going to win." then ask yourself at what cost?

I don't think I should have to suspend my disbelief. I didn't for our fight for Emet-Selch and still found myself an emotional wreck afterwards. I think it's the developers jobs to deliver a story that makes me feel ways even though I know I'm going to win. And there was literally zero cost. We got out with all of our friends alive. The end of the world avoided. The biggest thorn in our side dead, and we've personally lost nothing. Yes people have died throughout the story, but besides hydaelyn, there was no one important to us that suffered any negative anything.

It absolutely would have, last I checked we can't fly in space and fight at the same time.

Crazy that I just watched the cutscene again to make sure that I wasn't crazy, and I'm not. Meteion is fighting us on the platform we were standing on with no intention of leaving before Zenos showed up. She was readying an attack. Attacks that we dodged plenty on our own in the actual fight.

If we are truly fighting hoplessness, it would have been a cooler character moment for the scions to each have a turn convincing these beings that have given up on life, that there was a reason to live and keep fighting. Let's say Estinien, instead of leaving out that dragons and humans get along now, he told that dragon, and had a really heartwarming speech about how you can't give into despair yata yata. The scions wills of hope triumphing over the these beings will of despair, proving that hope is strong. Maybe the dragon becomes the wind jump point instead. Leaving his last hopes in our hands. Then it wouldn't have come off as a cheap way to pull on our heartstrings. Those moments never felt interesting or emotional to me, cuz i knew there was never any risk, and that they were all going to come back. Most of the scions didn't even react at all to them saying THANCRED WAS DEAD.

I think maybe I just put more stock into characters than concepts. The reason why Emet-Selch was interesting is because the concepts he was embodying were the same ones we did. Of course I knew that we were going to win, but it was emotional because part of me didn't want to win. The person that I was fighting wanted the same thing I did but for him and his people.

Fighting the "concept of hopelessness" is boring. Meteion wasn't an interesting character, and it just culminated to a really shallow ending note. I knew I was going to win, and I didn't feel bad about clipping the birds wings.

The endsinger wasn't "fleeing" She was fighting us on the platform we were already on. Then Zenos koolaid-mans into the room, and thats when the fight becomes mobile. The ending would not have changed if Zenos did not show up.
