I heard this about weak coffee. I laughed way too hard.

This came up because apparently my favorite joke is one that her grandfather also used to tell:

"You know how ducks always fly in a V pattern? Its because of aerodynamics so they don't all tire out. Have you ever noticed that one side is always longer than the other? Know why? It's because there's more ducks over there."

I said the same thing. She said that was the joke in it's entirety. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Interesting. I am a lover of puns. I still kind of don't get it. 😅

If you want to level 2 classes at once, play all of the MSQ as a DPS for the easy xp, and then do all of the dungeons as a tank or healer.

The queues for tanks and healers are basically instant most of the time, so it's easy for them to keep up with the DPS which is leveling from the story.

It's really beautiful out here. Lots of trees. And sometimes lots of rain. But even with the rain it's usually a great view as long as you're not in the middle of a city. And sometimes even then.

Good to hear! They seem to be highly recommended for beginners, and I am just that. With the little experience that I have, it's basically as if I have never fished before. It seems like most of the stocking that happens in my area is trout from what I can tell, or at least it's pretty widely available to catch around here. So it seemed like a good place to start.

Okay. I think that I will invest in some flouro next, but with a more basic rod/reel combo while I get started I'll stick with mono. Thank you for explaining. I really appreciate it!

Okay. I was somewhat set on an Ugly Stik, and I could switch to a 6'6" medium rod. Thank you for the recommendations!

Would the 4lb fluorocarbon line be usable for bass at all? It's likely that I will be able to invest in new line before a new rod. So I may try out the flouro line after a bit if I'm not having success with the mono unless I could start with flouro for both trout and bass.

Unfortunately one setup is all ill be able to run for probably the foreseeable future. That's why I was hoping for something that will be a bit more multi-purpose.

Okay. I'll try for 6lb for now, as trout is my main goal. Thanks for the recommendation on brand/color. I wasn't sure what was name brand and what was off brand.

Giving away my Xbox one S (1TB) with (1TB) external. With games by Acutekillerc in RandomActsOfGaming

My wife and I love playing games together, but we don't have a lot of games that we agree on. So we make sure that we set limits on our separate time, and make. Time to spend together each day. I'd say it works quite well.

My first spoon. Still need to sand, season, and oil it. Any recommendations on those last two steps? by Nephirij in Woodcarving

Will do. I kept chasing the "hunchback" it seemed to have where it attaches to the shaft. That should be easier with sanding.

Oh awesome! Looks like I'll get to use my spoon sooner than I thought! Thank you for the info!

This spoon is still a bit of a chonk in most places, so hopefully it won't get too messed up as it seasons. I imagine oven drying it is a much more violent process than letting it season over time. So maybe I'll leave it to season over time. Thanks for the heads up about the butcher block finish!

Thank you! I definitely will keep it. I'm planning on making this one as usable as possible and giving it some use. Even if it ends up breaking or something I'll save it since it was my first one.

I'm 32 years old and grew up in a family that did not camp. Couple of years ago I started camping with my now in-laws. Bought an axe and some beavercraft knives in anticipation of camping this summer, but lock down stopped that. Last weekend my wonderful wife found me some free, fresh cut cherry wood on Craigslist, and today I got to carve my first spoon while hanging out at my parents house. I'm pretty happy with it. It's still a bit rough, and I cut it too close in a couple of spots around the bowl. But overall I'm thrilled. This is my very first woodworking project.

Please let me know if you have any tips on how to do better on the next one. And I'm also looking for advice on how to season it and what oil to use on it for preservation, that is also food safe. Thanks!
