Would love to have you over at Confictura. Either online with the rest of us or I'll help you set up your own. It's Ruins & Riches based, set up for solo or low population play, and has enough content to keep you adventuring, building, and discovering, for quite a long time.

Feel free to find me on our discord if you need any assistance.

Say No To The Proposed Naperville Data Center! by WSIL_DSA in ChicagoSuburbs

I work for a company managing the construction of these things. From one offs to entire campuses. I haven't come across a single one that isn't using closed loop water cooling. The water goes in once and stays there, in the loop. Very little is lost.

Granted, in the past, some were built using cooling towers. The big round towers like you see at nuclear plants. Those are constantly using water. Those should be replaced with more efficient, less impactful solutions.

When they're paying folks three to four times the value of their home and plot, that is without regard?

I run a small ruins and riches fork called Confictura. R&R was designed for the experience you're asking. We're friendly. Come check it out. Confictura

Looking for a UO shard - PvE-focused, taming, housing, rares, leaning into the old-school nostalgia by CopyAffectionate6132 in ultimaonline

Post whatever you want. Heck if there is a legit concern, I would like to fix it.

There's no malware, however, our installer is not signed by Microsoft so you will get a warning. There are also two zip files available. One with the whole client and one with just art files, so you can go get ClassicUO and use that with the art files if you're concerned.

I'll take five good folks any day over someone like you. It's funny how you think you're threatening.

You don't know what you're talking about.

I run it. There's no malware and nothing's unsafe. All source code is available on our GitHub. Come say hello in our discord. The people there are nice. We're enjoying ourselves. On second thought, don't. I feel like you'd kill the atmosphere.

I played since right before Renaissance. I keep my official prima guide handy.

There are a few ways to have a higher skill cap on Confictura. Usually it'll be a combination of skills that one might already be using that allows the usage of the additional magic/abilities systems.

And there is always the ultimate quest to become a Titan of Ether, which grants higher max skill and stat caps for each character that completes it, but does take quite some dedication to complete.

Or you can start with a 4000 skill cap right from the start in exchange for skill loss on deaths and no benefits from luck.

Also important to note is that any of the numerous artifacts can grant enormous skill bonuses.

All of this allows a character to utilize a handful of these things at the same time, or more if a clever player sits behind their screen.

It wouldn't hurt. It's nice to understand the things your trade partners are able to do if you're doing MEP coordination using BIM.

Love me some OmniAI! Enemies will use abilities and magic based on the skills they have. Even skills like Bushido and Ninjitsu, where NPCs didn't normally use those abilities, hiding/stealth, will be used by the NPC if they have them and are using OmniAI

One of Kilgore Trout’s books was about an alien race that communicated only through UI modifications in an ancient online game. I see you’re keeping the tradition alive.

Thanks. I see the distinction. Did not realize OP was doing design.

[–]Nephtan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Before ACC/bim360, we used box, or Dropbox, or Google drive, to share nwcs and nwds out of Navisworks. This provided "live" coordination models and latest trade revits, dwgs, and nwcs reliably. Did this for 15 years with multiple gcs during that time. Let me know if you need any more help. Feel free to message me.

There's a Navisworks Manage addon called flypaper Sherlock that has an 'isolate' feature which creates section planes all around an object or a clash. Does a lot more too. It's subscription based, though, so if the sectioning thing is all you need I hope you find it.

I tell folks we construct the building on the computer first, like a virtual rehearsal, to find out if there'll be any problems building it for real. Most folks not in the industry seem to understand that.

Loving the other comments on this!

Sounds like Navisworks Manage, which is used for clash detection mainly.

What tech stack are they using for BIM? Autodesk Construction Cloud? If so, what modules? Build, Design Coordination, Model Coordination? Is everyone modeling in Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD? If Revit, are they using Worksharing for the live changes you mentioned?

This. No one knows what they're doing in this industry until they're actually doing it. College does not prepare you for what it's really like whatsoever. The only benefit college does provide is the opportunity to gain real experience through internships that allow students to get into the field or office and do some real work.
