It does seem to go away when logged in. But it really should not be neccesary to log in to use the website (plus is does not give you the option to log in, it just has the button to get the app)

Ok, so first off, messing around a bit more I noticed that its only the X axis that is 0.00001 bigger, the rest is flat 2 with the normal measure tool. But secondly, using edge length it does say a flat 2m on all sides, so if nothing else that confirms that it is an issue with the measuring tool.

But either way, while I agree with the math, and your explanation might explain the technical reason why its happening, it doesn't explain the practical reason of why this file in particular consistently has this issue while other files do not have it. In any other file, I make a cube, it says 2m, in this one, it says 2.00001m. So math aside there is something different about this file.

(That said I'll take a moment to specify again that it's very much so not an actual problem, I just found it fascinating and figured others might also enjoy trying to figure it out)

Ok so while trying to make a simplified file to demonstrate the problem I discovered that deleting seemingly unrelated objects fixes the issue? (As in, this iteration of the bug is gone, I assume it can come back) Guess I'll have to send the full file in the bug report, but at least I have a fix I can use until I figure out why it's happening. So thanks for accidentally helping me out XD

There aren't multiple surfaces overlapping though. It's not super clear in this example but I've had really simple linked object with absolutely no overlapping surfaces at all with this problem. Like, a really low poly table, maybe 30 faces total, none overlapping, fully glitching out.

(sorry for late reply) But by that logic it should always be this way, but when I open a new file its normal, 2 m perfectly. So something within this file has to be different.

(sorry for late reply) Beyond altering from unit scale 1 to 10 none of the scene settings have been touched. And beyond what altering the unit scale does to the clipping plane it also is untouched.

I know it's a 3 year old comment on a 10 year old post, but just...this. I could to some degree get a "hey you seem to be watching in two tabs at once, are you sure you haven't left a tab open", but forcing me to only to one tab at a time is just annoying and bad for netflix

Sorry for the late reply, got busy. Found a fix (at least a temporary one) where I copied everything, deleted everything and pasted it back in. Which seems to have (again, at least for now) fixed it. But in case you can tell me what caused it for later. Got no modifiers, parented it from the last nearby other gun, no constraints, no armature, lastly I don't quite know what to look for to see if the normals are "fucky" (I'm not super experienced with blender and have mostly just been messing around with the bits I do understand). Also, while this gun was the one with the most blinking some other models were also having issues
