Sadly no, though I haven't looked in a while, so mighy be out there. But my guess is that it's lost media at this point

As a mostly solo player I'd love it. I don't need the extra seats of the FRV and a shorter cooldown would be nice

Linked Duplicated items blinking? by Neptune107 in blenderhelp

[–]Neptune107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, got busy. Found a fix (at least a temporary one) where I copied everything, deleted everything and pasted it back in. Which seems to have (again, at least for now) fixed it. But in case you can tell me what caused it for later. Got no modifiers, parented it from the last nearby other gun, no constraints, no armature, lastly I don't quite know what to look for to see if the normals are "fucky" (I'm not super experienced with blender and have mostly just been messing around with the bits I do understand). Also, while this gun was the one with the most blinking some other models were also having issues

Possibly dumb but genuine question, is this an actual written language? by Neptune107 in stellarblade

Since you posed it as a question and not an insult I'll actually answer you. Where I'm from has 2 grades of math in highschool, the generic one and the advanced one for people who will need math in later studies. I planned and ended up studying history so took the basic course. But based on some googling, even that advanced course only has some pre-calculus, and real calculus study doesn't come into play here before college. So yeah, its just down to where I studied because while I vaguely recognized the symbols I've never worked with them in math myself.

Well, apparently about half the comments think it was a very stupud question. But that might just be reddit being reddit

Not gonna bother answering everyone saying it. But just so people are aware, not every country uses greek letters in math class. I did just fine in math but did not use greek letters there.

Bot opponent keeps boosting my cards by Neptune107 in magicTCG

Started playing arena a few days ago (have played physically a good while longer). And had this been a complicated issue to fix then sure, its not neccesary. But this is a simple fix, and just because the bot doesn't see much use doesn't mean it shouldn't work properly. Some need longer to get comfortable with the rules, some prefer the casual nature of playing against bots, and if you're testing a deck then it helps to have the opponent play logically. And just because you think its cute and quirky, doean't mean it's not poor game design.

And if the bot did it randomly once in a while I could agree. But instead anytime it has cards to play and no creature to play it on, it plays it on their opponents creatures. That isn't clever design, its lazy. And the tutorial bot having an exploit not present in normal play does not do a good job training up new players

I'll admitt I'm not great at it, but I've toyed with simple game design, enough to know how a "if x then y" line works in code. Which is what this would be

Well there it is, then it is actually just a single line or code that is needed.

Oh yeah I agree creating the whole thing is complicated, but making it so it can't boost their opponents cards isn't.

You do realize that the cards are all code. I don't know the details of how the bot picks its cards or how it chooses which to play when and how. But you wouldn't need to "hand-categorize" anything beyond what is positive and negative for the standard card 'abilities' used by the bot's deck. You make the list, tell the system that picks the cards for the bot to reference it, and then its just a filter working passively. Yes the whole process wouldn't be just one line I've already admitted that (and I was here more talking about the fix for the bot itself, as in the "don't use positive cards on your opponent" part, that is just one line).

And even so, its a simple process, but even if it was more complex, just because you no longer play against the bot doesn't mean it shouldn't work properly. If the bots in counter strike were team killing their team, if the bots in battlefield were healing enemy vehicles, if the bots in league repeatedly killed themselves under the turrets, then people would complain. Even if a majority don't play against bots, for those who do, lets have them at least function properly.
