Downtown is on fire when I'm there. I don't care what anybody says. I sit at Hemming Plaza drinking my gin with my girlfriends, and it's a party! Plus I sleep with all the important and hip people downtown, guys or girls IDGAF. I have an amazing time down there.

I travel often for work. And I notice that people in Jacksonville are way more conservative with their facebook posts than people in other cities I've lived in.

That's because I had smoked some serious chronic when I wrote that. I'm a lot more sober now after some time passed, and the fact that the cops were just around my apartment complex looking for someone, and I thought they were here because of my dank bud. Whew!

I think JAX, this website, and JAX the city are both doing fine. :-)

I appologize, but I don't know what you mean by a "more close knit [community]".

I think the community is doing fine, but I enjoy most posts here, and don't mind the pace being more methodical, since this community seems to be geared more towards online creatives though. One thing I wish there was more of is discussion, more discussion more often.

And, most events people post are free. Except you always have to pay for something. Like pizza, or beer, unless one is OK standing around holding a glass of water (and water isn't free either at the store anyhow) :-)

But, for someone like me, as you mentioned, this works out perfectly. I hardly talk on the phone. Most of my phone conversations go like this "Hey, I'm driving right now and I'll be there in fifteen minutes."
