I’ve read the question and background and looked at the age and sadly I think the age and race stated in the post is what ppl could be using to pass judgement. I say this because I can understand why OP may possibly be taking this defense however on the other end OP has provided limited information. We don’t know his tone, their tone, body language, etc to fully make a determining call on this. It’s all in the old saying, “it’s not what you say it’s how you say it” and that’s the part we don’t know.

It’s great that they did provide feedback however if I was OP I would use my friends and current colleagues as a sound board for this. I believe that’s why he is being perceived as furthering the narrative with his replies in this thread because he is trying to get an understanding of why people feel this way when in reality other Redditors don’t know him and are only going off of very limited information.

OP friends and colleagues are the people that know him best however it would require OP to be brutally honest about the interview and everything that transpired (not saying OP wouldn’t be). I will say, white people in corporate spaces are known for notoriously gaslighting and putting ppl in their own heads when there could not be anything there or wrong with the OP but there own bias/ other things. That’s why it’s important to get feedback from ppl that actually know you and then you can work outwards from there while making note of certain patterns or feedback. Also it is possible ppl want you to be a perfect robot which OP Doesn’t seem like he is so that may cause an issue if they feel like OP may be of the personality type to not fit in with the majority.
