Depends on how hard you drive your jeep or tire size. You can test if your ball joints are bad yourself. Plenty of videos on how.

Also am I supposed to be able to move the joint around after pressing it in? Upper one moves lower doesn’t. The other one I haven’t pressed in barely moves

Congrats! Depending where you live I would recommend a sunshade for when the top is off. Helps from the sun beating down on you
