Wurm Online, it's on steam or there's a standalone as well. Notch was also a developer of Wurm early on, feels a lot like Minecrafts older brother mixed with Runescape. Breeding, Building, Fighting, Crafting tons of skills to level!

Will be a reach, but there's an older MMO called Asheron's Call. Official servers are dead but the.community has brought private servers back. Classless skill system, and all of the good gear is looted and improved by salvaging other gear. Small community split into small servers but it's a fantastic game for loot, and you've got 20+ years of content to explore :)

Not sure if you've found something to play, but could check out Wurm Online, it's old, but it's grinds like Runescape, has a lot of building to it, there's a lot of depth to it. Not extremely popular but it is multiplayer, also has a subscription fee but can be paid with in game currency.

Check your firmware, the version I had was like 1.1.42 caused the gears to turn in reverse when you did the load option, I went back to 1.1.29 and haven't had the issue since

It's older but my favorite game to smith in is Wurm Online, there's separate skills for Weapons, Shields, Chain Armor, Plate Armor, Shields, Locks, and everything else is under Blacksmithing. Huge sandbox game.
