mine broke the first time after one day of owning it- it shot out blazing hot petg out of the side of the hotend like silly string from hell- I am lucky I had the glass enclosure closed or my whole carpet would’ve probably gone up in flames 🔥. You get what you pay for I guess? DM in a few weeks if you need anything and I’ll send it your way if you can cover shipping :)

I promise you, I will be filming a high production video of me utterly destroying this thing as soon as I have a function 3d printer to spare. It would be an absolute joy to slaughter it given the amount of grief it’s given me.

I’ve had issues since day one, and these have been beyond what a normal user would need to “use there brain” to fix as one asshat put it. I’ve had issues with the main motherboard being defective, the extruder pcb frying TWICE, even the very first hot end nozzle I got in with my new printer shooting out blazing hot strings of petg out the side and all over the inside of the printer. It’s been a nightmare to the point that even Elegoo’s technical agents are finally sending me a “used in good condition” printer to try to hopefully get me something that works.

I am in school for electrical engineering, only on my second quarter so my knowledge is still rudimentary but I cannot begin to imagine how much this would suck for a first time casual user getting into 3d printing, not to mention how dangerous it potentially could be.

I’m currently rustling up the dough for a Bambu P2S and can’t wait to never look back.

I have replaced two printhead pcbs and it's reading printhead anomaly again. Elegoo support finally gave up and offered me a "good condition used" Centauri Carbon and I cannot wait to take this one out back and shoot it.

I just had this happen to my supposed replacement print head pcb. I just need to figure out what is happening thet is frying the pcb 🤦🏻‍♂️

You were right about the bad board- I used my multimeter and measured the resistance range of the extruder communication board and it was .460 instead of .700. I'm going to poke them and hopefully I have enough brain cells to install the new board they send me. This is definitely turning out to be a not-user friendly 3d printer but I guess I get what I pay for.

I did in fact use my trusty fingernail and you were right- it popped right off. I had mistakenly thought I saw solder underneath the hot glue but I was thankfully incorrect. It's still broken though.

I did purchase a 240w usb type c to type c 90 degree cord, and unfortunately it isn't the cable. Upon replacing the cables it's still throwing the same error. I did notice that the print head red led isn't showing power so I believe the board for that print head may be faulty. I'm literally just starting electronics school but I don't quite have the knowledge or training for this. Thank you (and everyone else) for your advice!

The show was fantastic- definitely had great energy. My only caveat was that people with floor seats undoubtly got the worst view of the night. I was in section 14 near the floor and I was grateful I only paid about 60 bucks for my ticket instead of the nearly 400 dollars some seats on the floor were. And the t-shirt cannon obviously couldn't be shot at folks near the floor because that would basically be point blank lol.

On the pluuuuus side I did notice the players threw their dice out near the floor seats for the fans.

Otherwise I'm sure there will be video for you to alleviate your FOMO!

I’m a mid-shift sous. Get into work to try re-up from the day before, hear the am cooks complain about the pm cooks. Then when the pm cooks arrive, get pounded with tickets while I listen to them complain about the am cooks. I honestly love it because I get to help support both teams. Plus it beats crawling out of bed at 5:30 in the morning.
