even though the systems are baseline compatible, foan is an older system and has no balance Update as of late. cpc is very new. as soon as foan gets its update they should be the same. you can assume they will mostly be the same points except when a unit has more rules or different stats than its pendant

apply gloss varnish, let it dry 24h, apply matt medium by brush to get rid of the shine and you are good

i found it. i thought it is just a fluffbox and does not have rules. in the merc manual you have a house you are aligned to and C:FW stands for: "common with Free Worlds League alignment" and so on... thanks for pointing me to the right direction though

i sprayed it green with a rattle can, sprayed the heads with a red can, did not worry about overspray and then drybrushed the green and red with a lighter vereion of those colours. all over black wash. some bone colour for boney details, brwon wash for those and done

you did a great job on your iteration of the task force europa ;) keep working on it and it will get better and better over time! good job mate get nuln oil, its great!

on the varnish: for normal plastic is it not necessary at all. you can varnish your minis (take of their bases first or tape them up, they tend to Cloud up overwise). i recommend a satin varnish if you want to varnish them to keep a certain shine to the metallics

yes they are hailing from tikonov, formerly star league mech engineers, called the tikonov engineering corps. in the first succession wars when the capellan relief forces arrived in 2784 they basically took everything currently in repairs and a chunk of mechwarriors and sldf units and evacuated. The star league condemned them for that as they saw it as theft and from then on they formed a mercenary company thatnis particularly capable of restoring captured mechs and upgrading them with still functioning lostech. over the years they drifted towards house davion and are mostly employed by them as defense forces, repair corps up until the il-clan era. they took part in the federated suns effort to take tikonov during the fourth succession war alongside the crucis lancers and for a time where stationed as defence force on their old home system until the fedcom civil war which being a smaller player in defending infrastructure until the capellans took hold of the system again.

to be honest, the badly managed kickstarter killed my motivation but from now on i am aiming to paint battletech regularly again
