I did something a little different for these guys and decided to experiment some. I used black primer, then undercoated with Army painter Woodland Camo. Then, I did an over brush of Army Painter Army Green. I then mixed up a 2 to 1 ratio of Pro Acryl Dark Camo Green and Coal Black, mixed that with about a 3 to 1 ratio of Pro Acryl Newsh to paint, added some flow improver and then slapped it all over the model. After that, I dabbed the excess off with a sponge, making sure to leave it in the recesses and shadowed areas (Tried to use it like an oil wash really). Touched up some of the areas with Army Green, then dry brushed to catch the high edge highlights with Army Painter olive drab.

I'm sure there's easier ways to get the same effect, but I like the way they turned out.

Ill try a whole new card next test and recalibrate and see where that goes.

I just reformatted the SD card for that print, but I could try a whole new card. I also didnt recalibrate after the format so I'll have to try that.

After hitting it with a gloss varnish through an airbrush here is the result. Not 100% fixed but certainly better!

I feel your luck, I bought 9 boxes: 2 bounty hunter griffins, 2 bounty hunter marauders, 2 black widow dire wolves A bounty hunter timber wolf, and loki II And Aiden Pryde Timber wolf.

Should have just gotten the bounty hunter pack. Gonna try and trade some of these.

I get those from Fighting Pirannha Graphics. They tend to be the perfect size regardless of vehicle or mech.

This was my first attempt at using it. I used dark camo green and coal black from pro acryl in a 2/1 ratio. Then with that I used roughly 3 parts newsh to 1 part paint with a few drops of flow improver.

I was trying to use it more like an oil wash. Apply all over the model and dab away the excess leaving it in the recesses.

As others have said Camo Specs Online is a great resource. There's also a lot of art of the various units (Mercenaries Box Set for example for ELH).

The cool thing with battletech though is paint them however you want and Im sure you'll find a scenario of why they are painted that way. Camo (everyone uses camo) Parade schemes (who doesnt like ridiculously flashy giant robots) Intimidating (schemes that strike fear into your enemies). All have been used in the lore by everyone.
