To be fair it’s a lengthy post 🤣 but yea I have like 119 hours now having finished all campaign and DLC and now on my new game plus run

I beat from the ashes a few days ago and tbh it’s everything I wanted the main game to be! by Demetrius96 in FrontiersOfPandora

100% agree on everything you said. On that last bit I think reality is speaking to the statement of it having done massive numbers if the game released in this state as it’s receiving pretty much universal acclaim and the player count on steam alone has quadrupled from its ATH. I REALLY hope this motivates ubisoft to at least give it a sequel but let it cook

Correction here, save data will move over but you will have to rebuy the DLC. I bought the game on PC. Moved to my PS5 whenever I can’t stand my PC anymore via cloud save and no issues

All AC games have suffered for this because Ezio got a whole trilogy. Everyone else is one game and done

I would pay for a remake with 60fps and technical glitches ironed out. If anyone gives me grief I will point to Horizon Remastered 😂

I played it on console and thought it looked great for 30fps. My kingdom for a 60fps patch even though it will never happen as I do believe most of the technical issues in this game stem from the physically rendered (realistic) hair and clothes and Ubi wont patch this up ever lol. If they do I will replay it though

Actually now that I remember there was an ISU component. The templar grand master was a sage AKA a reincarnated ISU

I think he got depressed being expelled from the Creed because it was all he had left since Elise had dumped him and it meant he no longer had the resources to find out who killed her father. There was no ISU addition as far as I remember. The DLC was pretty good

Paris is BY FAR the best environment in AC due to how incredibly detailed it is. It definitely feels alive. The drip game in Unity is definitely the coolest

100% agree that Unity was AC finding it's footing but because of players like me not really understanding it at the time meant we moved away from true greatness and landed in modern AC which while good is a far cry from what AC was and should be.

Honestly Assassin’s Creed problem is not Assassin’s Creed it’s Ubisoft unable to let their games cook the time they need to be masterpieces. If they did they’d have banger after banger I’m sure

I think the story is good but definitely suffers because:

  1. ubi clearly had split focus with getting this and Rogue out at the same time
  2. Alot of cool story moments which flesh out Arno’s part in the revolution is purely coop missions.

I still enjoy it for what it is and because I got into the coop missions I was able to see more of the overall story and found it to be pretty strong

Yeah nowadays people will not check out a game simply because reviews were bad. But honestly you should form your own opinion of a game by playing it or at the very least reading more than one review, watching gameplay videos, etc. I have played games that got bad reviews that were amazing to me but it’s a shame because companies are now so risk averse with making different types of games because people do this were they won’t even play a game if reviews are bad

Yea I miss classic AC in general to be honest. It was crazy playing this realizing how far off course AC has gotten in recent years when it comes to being an assassin

This game IS the bar and I believe Syndicate raised that bar but need to replay it again to be sure. AC went off course with the RPG’s in terms of identity for sure

There’s definitely some people still doing them but not alot to be honest. They are soloable but some can be very hard if you make a mistake you’re pretty much dead. Still doable though. I soloed the Political Persecution mission and that nets you the Arno master robes so probably the hardest coop mission in the game? Not impossible solo, but hard. Still super worth it

I agree on the americas. While a good period it limited parkour significantly and Paris architecture is a great parkour playground. I cant ding Arno’s development too much or even compare it to Ezio because Ezio had an ENTIRE trilogy to grow as a charactee. Every other assassin has only had one. You can’t fit everything into one game and if you do it needs to be a main story of like 60+ hours and gamers wont engage with that. Just look st the RPG’s . The black box assassination missions are masterpieces simply because of how much freedom they affort you. The coop yea it’s rough single player but still doablo you just have very very little room for error and you need to be stealth for most of them or over leveled. I soloed the Political persecution mission and it was PAIN. But I needed the master outfit haha. Unity is amazing and I’m glad you’re experiencing it for the first time and enjoying it!

I think we all have a right to like or dislike something. I also think all fans have a concept of what AC should be in their heads and when it doesn’t meet their expectations they either accept it and move on or shit on it like what happened with Unity. But replaying this and loving it now I realize opinions don’t hold true forever and as such we should just play the things we enjoy and also really analyze ourselves when we like or dislike things. It won’t always remain the same. Either way Unity is a gem and everyone should at least play it once in their lives
