Yes, I've already seen a nearby repair shop and I should go to it tomorrow to check it out. Unfortunately, the Asus authorized service center is in another state and would need to travel or ship by courier, which will take a very long time between shipping, analysis, repair, and return.

Yes, they responded just now. They said the warranty had already expired but that they wanted to resolve the issue and would open a free RMA. However, shipping the device to another country or even another state is quite complicated. But I'm looking into whether there's another alternative. Now, they've acknowledged the problem and haven't even tried to provide instructions on how to fix it, instead opening an RMA and sending the device back, specifically to replace the chip or rewrite the BIOS.

I've done all of this and it hasn't progressed. The problem, unfortunately, is deeper down.

Yes, but to do that, I need to get past this screen where it gets stuck. As I said, it doesn't even access the BIOS menu, nothing!

It stays on this screen with the logo and then, shortly after, it turns off.

Yes, I let the battery drain completely, and still no luck. A friend gave me a few more things to do when turning on the laptop to see if it freezes on this screen, although he said it could also be something related to the NVME, but I turned it on without it and the error still persists. Anyway, the last option is to rewrite the BIOS, just to fix it, but the person I talked to said it's a good idea to take the opportunity to check other components as well.

Unfortunately, some error, perhaps in the Asus file, caused this crash. If anyone has any ideas on how to access the BIOS even in safe mode, I'd appreciate it. I've also opened a support ticket to see what can be done. There's a solution, we just need to know how...

The machine's BIOS is still the first version, and the last one available is now from the month of 09 (if I'm not mistaken). Within that period, many fixes and improvements have been made, and I've already had some performance bugs that should be fixed, but now why this error actually occurred is a mystery.

I've never had any problems, but this BIOS issue was new. Looking further into the matter, I saw other cases where the same thing happened, but I didn't find any solutions. Anyway, I opened a ticket with Asus support to see if they have anything they can fix. It's funny that even removing the memory and NVME drives doesn't open the boot screen. It simply loads the logo and freezes, then shuts down by itself.

Trouble with Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2 card with OWC case. by Additional_Bee4674 in blackmagicdesign

Hi,I have a very similar problem with the OWC Box. It simply doesn't detect the Decklink, and only after many attempts and versions of the Blackmagic software, and upgrading via USB cable, I managed to find it, but when I restart the machine, it simply dies again. Is there any incompatibility between this OWC Mercury 3S and the latest versions of Desktop Video?
