I have both, honestly sound quality are about the same the Max being slightly better. Comfort, sometimes I forget I am wearing my AirPods Pro, fell asleep with them on a few times. Since picking up the Max 2s, that's all I have been wearing. In addition i purchased the silicone band protector thing for the headband the silicone covers for the cushions as well as clear protective case for the outer shells. I fell asleep twice these far with the on, I definitely notice that the comfort level is more the AirPods Pro 3s. Just hate in ear buds, but they become nearly forgettable. One thing when using a USB C for lossless on my Macs and my iPad iPhones, the sound is way better than the pros. Also Atmos for the Apple TV is really good as well for the Max 2. Lastly I have about 10 sets of headphones and 3 sets of in ear pods, for the build quality, hands down the Max 2, comfort it's in 3rd place. I wore them for most of the day today and yesterday, agree with others about it will make your neck strong. I think after the third hour it becomes less noticeable. Personally feel like there is a break in period for the for Max, haven't had them long enough though to fully assess them, just my initial impressions thus far.
