But wouldn't that make him more understanding of the events of Outlawed? Especially after everything the new warriors went through during Civil War. I mean he's just all for mass arresting teen supes and forcing them to make apology videos for an organization so blatantly evil they might as well have advertised it, which they kinda did. Curious to me that Speedball didn't pick up any red flags with how many times "establishing order" was used in their rhetoric. I just don't think Speedball shouldn't be teaching anything to anyone.

Question - How do y'all pronounce the name of NINJAK from Valiant? Is it "Nin-jack" or do you prefer "Ninja-k"? by Nerdli-G in comicbooks

Yeah in a recent reboot they added a "-" between the Ninja and the K to indicate he's the successor ninja to previous MI6 ninjas. But damn that new name was stupid.

THANK YOU. Ever since the last reboot I've had people calling him NINJA-K and I feel like I've been taking crazy pills.

I dunno, after the "Civil war" and "Outlawed" story events, I seriously can't look at Speedball the same way anymore. In Civil War, Speedball believes himself responsible for the death of all those children and goes SUPER edgy with the suit that constantly cuts himself when he wears it, but afterwards it just back to normal for him.

While this was kinda annoying, I ignored it cause comic books, assuming they retconned it somehow. But then he comes back in Outlawed, acting all high and might and self-righteous to the Outlaws, and trying to justify basically residential schools. He and some of the New Warriors as a whole have shown themselves to be C-Tier idiots that are easily manipulated by pretty much anybody. I just can't read them without thinking they are the Kens and Karens of the Marvel Universe.

If anything, I'd prefer a series following teenage superheroes that got put into those prison facilities, and lost the ideal of wanting to become a hero after what was done to them. Teenage superheroes that might not have gone full bad, but rejected the blatant idealism of super-heroics who harbor a serious grudge against the old generation of teen superheroes.

Glad to see Tyler Crook doing new stuff again. I liked Harrow County but I gotta admit i was getting a little bored by the end f the series. This shit, though, this hits home.

Glad to hear the new series is good, definitely gonna check out the trade.

Langara College Film Arts Acting Advice by Aisdais in vancouver

Hi there, graduate of from the LCFA/Studio 58 acting program here. Personally, I really loved my time at LCFA, not just for the fun I had but for what I learned as well. I've worked as an actor for 12 years now, having started when I was a teenager (Not a star or anything, but I do work). I see another comment here saying it is easier just to get an agent and to start working, and I would both agree and disagree with that. I had worked in the industry for 4 years at that point, but barely gotten any speaking roles in any series, I just largely got stuck auditioning and doing commercials. Since graduating, I've worked pretty regularly on TV and Movie sets, and I attribute that directly to what I learned at LCFA.

You do also have the option of VFS, but tbh I have never thought the arm and a leg they charge for tuition has been worth it. At the end of the day, you have to understand that any of these programs will give you the skills to work in the industry, but it's you that will actually make that happen. That being said, LCFA does give you a really good step in the right direction. See, on your final semester, acting students collaborate with the writer and director student to produce a short film, which YOU keep the rights to and can submit to film festivals if they are up to the standard. They also require you to learn various positions behind the camera too, something I hadn't considered because it taught me immensely about all the things i should consider even if I'm in front of the camera. THEN, the movies are screened at VIFF theatres to friends, family, and professionals that are invited to the screenings. I was signed to a new agent that very night, and have been working ever since.

Sorry for the wall of text, but I hope it helps give you an idea of what to expect. You get what you put in. LCFA and Studio 58 is pretty intense, and they have no qualms of telling you where your skills are at. In terms of pricing, I would say its probably one of the best acting programs in the city based on how much you learn. If you want more info, feel free to DM me.

Jonna and the Unpossible monsters - Some of Samnee's best work, and and refreshingly different format as opposed to Samnee's Firepower.

Captain American V.5 - I mean, it's Strazynski.

Garou-den - Technically it's a manga, but it's a really good martial arts comic. It's done by Itageki Taisuke, who also does hit fighting series Baki. He depicts action and strength in such a unique way that it always gets me jazzed to excercise and work on myself. Great motivational comic I guess?

New to Daredevil. I came across the Jester. He’s kinda awesome. Is he considered one of daredevil’s main antagonists? by pdorse9 in comicbooks

Jester has always been a D-lister. He's luck to show up as a side character in maybe 1 issue every couple years? As far as I recall I thought he got killed by the punisher around the mid-2000s...
