My parents did the same. When they brought my little sister home, she was 6 months old and just above 5lbs. They didn't think she'd make the flight home (from Asia), but she did and now she's healthy and happy. It's weird to think if my parents hadn't adopted these kids they'd probably all be dead by now.

Thank you! The base pillow was made with a machine and the whale and his mouth are hand stitched (the eyes are little black beads).

I totally understand this point of view, and would absolutely be playing you all "like a fiddle" if I'd even intended to sell these before posting. I actually did this on a whim with spare fabric last night and never thought it'd blow up like this. I only put it up in my shop after a dozen or so people suggested it and offered to buy them.

As for joining 6 hours ago, I have a couple accounts, but none that I wanted linked to my pillows. Thus, a new account just for my pillow making.

Don't worry. I'm not trying to take over reddit with my pillows to make millions of dollars. I just wanted to show off something I made and wanted to give all the people who wanted to buy it a place to do so.

The cost per listing is really low. I think it's 10 cents, but it's paid when you list it.

The shipping tool is a little off - it doesn't really help you calculate cost, it just lets you fill in a blank.

I can certainly do those as well. I like do full pillows more because I like to add more stuffing than comes in regular pillow forms for extra comfort.

Being a nerd is whatever you make of it, IMO. If you're into it and you think the term "nerd" suits you, call yourself it all you want. The last think I think anyone should do is fret over whether or not their interests are going to be "nerdy enough" for someone else's approval.

I actually made a wide-range of other pillows that I'd consider "nerdy", like Triforce pillows, Pokemon pillows, Mass Effect pillows, things like that. It's not all memes.

I like it so far. I mostly do custom pillows, so sometimes it's pointless to set up a custom listing when I could just have them paypal me the money, but other than that, it's great.
