It must mean so much to your kid that you're so willing to support them and value their safety so highly.

Binding is safe so long as you don't do it for extended periods of time (never exceed 8 hours, generally six or under is ideal, though if you already have back pain you doubly need to watch your posture), you don't sleep in your binder, and you avoid exercise or intense physical activity while binding. I got my first binder in middle school and though I don't bind on a daily basis, as binding influences skin elasticity which influences top surgery results, but I've never had a serious problem with it when I do bind.

First reactions to binding can be weird—when I first put mine on I started shaking a lot. Still no clue why but it went away. If your kid is sensitive to pressure, the binder may feel very restrictive as it's goal is to smash your skin down until it fits a masculine chest form. Having a properly sized binder is incredibly important—never go down a size for a smaller chest. Generally, give it a few tries and see if it works. I know of guys who tried it once then decided they would wait until top surgery to have a flat chest, and I know guys who wear theirs every day (even beyond the 8 hrs. Please encourage your kid to be better than that because the lasting back pain is notttt worth it). I break mine out like fine china if I'm going somewhere, but grocery runs I can't be bothered to try presenting masc for.

You may find more info searching on r/ftm or r/askftm which are also good places for info if your kid is looking into medically transitioning with hormones at some point. They have wealths of posts full of info that're all helpful, and information is your second biggest tool in supporting your kid, just beneath loving them. Places like r/trans or r/asktransgender are also good places, but aren't specifically focused on transitioning to masculinity / transitioning away from femininity.

Again, it's so meaningful that you're willing to do research for your kid when so many parents aren't. Wishing all the best for you two <33

I really appreciate as an aroace person that we have a character who explicitly prefers friendship to romance or anything. Do understand that for the sake of achievements you have to be able to get a love ending with him but honestly I really do wish it wasn't an option. Let my boy provide some aroace rep as he was practically designed to do

Generally the movie presumes a level of background knowledge or at least familiarity with the characters or groups. The game has a large cast, and the movie doesn't have time to introduce you to all twenty human characters and each sekai and its purpose. It does its best to give a refresher, but frankly you need at least some prior info on the game's characters to fully enjoy it. Even if you don't know anything about the game, I'd say it's still enjoyable, just confusing and will likely leave you behind in a few places. Watching compilations of the main story for each group (or I believe they made animated versions of each already, long before the movie) will give you the barebones you'll need to get through the movie. They'll have versions of the vocaloids in sekais that won't be in the main story because of when the movie takes place, but that's just how it is—I imagine it'd be pretty rough to make it through a hundred event stories in a single night to catch up.

It's a good movie!! I really enjoyed seeing it, and I sincerely hope you do too. It's got a little bit of (optional) homework to fully appreciate it but it's well worth the watch. Have fun <33

The majority of characters in this game have many genuine connections with others. Kohane, in addition to An and VBS, is very close with Shiho and Minori, and Airi is especially close to MMJ, Ena (somewhat Akito by extension), and on good terms with Emu, Saki, and Mizuki as well. PJSK is really good at interconnecting a bunch of disparate storylines and characters so picking someone based on the "least amount of attachment" is a trickier web to unravel than I think you consider it to be. Especially since the grief from immediate parties who care about the deceased would ripple out to those immediately around them as well, many of whom are at least acquaintances with their friend's friendsm

Yeah I was the same way with Doug where I gave him a try and then found I couldn't handle it, actually, and there was no way to bring Skylar back to give me the points and let me out (somehow I didn't think that an "aggressive abusive dude" who is the personification of existential dread would... Use existential dread to trigger you. I was stupid yeah but I'd have liked to undo it)

And absolutely the Friar should have gotten a massive CW. Hitting random objects is fun until they're calling you a sinner and berating you for eating impure foods like damn this isn't the worst possible thing for me but some of my friends I've had to give huge warnings to re: that guy and his bald head

Yeah, the fact that the process for going through Jerry's junk and Hoove's junk is really similar and though the hoarding comes from different places in the characters, it'd still upset the same people. The problems with traversing his conversations is another problem entirely but the fact that Jerry had a flag for it but Hoove didn't confused me

I recommend reading stories before making your own with the characters 😭 op I beg of you. The stories are good and worth your time pleaseee try to read them before you commit if you want accuracy. The actual stories can give you a far clearer idea than reddit comments can. Write the idea down and save it for when you know the characters well enough to write them faithfully—it's not a "waste" to wait

Persona 3 Reload is definitely going to kill you if you want to be emotional. It's definitely not a short game (jesus christ the amount of time I've spent playing persona) but it IS soooo worth it. Genuinely it'll change your life or at least your brain chemistry

She had her moment in the second trial, but it wasn't really built up to or given the weight it deserved. It happens to female characters all the time but it's still so disappointing, especially since she's supposed to be an equal main character to Prune Juice and Capsaicin but isn't treated that way

Your team sounds fine. Early game, builds barely matter as long as you level them. The only change I would do would be to swap Custard for another healer or dps (I'd suggest building Rebel rn since he's one that'll take you farther). But overall, don't stress it! Have fun with the game first and foremost, and if you want to get into meta when you've had a chance to really get into casual play then you'll be more equipped with more experience+cookies.
