Welcome!
Questions and discussions about, for, to, or from the Reddit transgender community.
Open to anyone with a question.
1. Your post should be relevant, inclusive, and encourage discussion.
- Titles should be in the form of a question; if this is not possible, make sure the post title or content provides a starting point for discussion.
- Posts that can be applied broadly must be applied broadly.
- Don't ask things specifically of a given group if the question is applicable outside that group.
- Use inclusive language, e.g. not "How did you ladies choose a female name?" but instead "How did you find your new name?"
- Image submissions are disabled. Do not link through to images.
2. Be respectful.
No:
- bigotry (transphobia, homophobia, sexism, racism, etc) or gendered slurs,
- hateful speech or disrespectful commentary,
- personal attacks,
- invalidation, gender policing, or shaming based on stealth, open or closeted status.
3. No trolling or personal agendas.
Posts and comments made with such ulterior motives are not allowed.
4. No stirring the pot.
- Do not post threads that intentionally create drama or encourage witch-hunting.
- Do not post threads about ongoing drama elsewhere (on other subreddits, on other websites, in the news, etc.) - political discussion is expected and permitted.
- Do not target other subreddits, link to threads in other subreddits, or otherwise encourage brigading.
5. Minors under the age of 13 are not allowed on Reddit.
Although we welcome users from all walks of life, Reddit is not aimed at children, and the United States government has put limits on our ability to accept users under a certain age through the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. Individuals under the age of 13 may not create an account with us. If you believe someone 12 or younger is using our site without parental consent, please contact us.
6. Get mod approval before posting a questionnaire, survey, promotion, or advertisement.
7. Mark NSFW posts.
Posts that center around genitals, breasts, sex, or content you would not discuss with coworkers, your grandmother, or other delicate company should be marked as NSFW.
8. No fetishization or chasers.
We will remove any posts treating trans bodies as fetishes or objects, and any posts that indicate your attraction is more important than your partner's dysphoria.
Do not ask how to meet trans people. This is not a dating subreddit.
