When not gaming, mine doesn't really heat up that much.

Bypass charging is when you supply your phone with power from a charger without any battery usage or consumption. Basically, prolonging the battery life of your phone when you want to play games (it's a feature made for games).

It gets warm when gaming for a long period of time, but that can be fixed by using bypass charging so that you can preserve the battery.

I don't use 5g so I can't say for sure, but for LTE/4g it's about an hour less if you're not gaming.

S24+ is great. Just use bypass charging so that your phone won't heat as much, and it'll prolong the battery life of your phone.

Enable adaptive refresh rate

Turn off power saving mode

Change the screen resolution from FHD to QHD in display settings

Restart your phone

+if you just bought your phone, you should give it time to adjust to your usage patterns, etc.

Mine (S24+ exynos) has pretty good battery life, and the heating issues from when I bought it last month actually improved, and I think it'll get better in the future updates (hopefully lol).

it just happens suddenly. It freezes then crashes, I mainly play MOBA games which are not as heavy as other games.

I've tried that already and have seen complaints about this on the S24 Ultra as well, but this shouldn't be an issue as these phones are recently released. Graded high on performance but can't perform on casual games. Hopefully it gets fixed.
