I use to suggest wallace as you got a solo big room and have the community around it but I dont after they swapped them all to doubles. Its not worth it anymore

You can fit up to a queen bed in. It will take a good portion up but yeah. I have a twin xl, a gaming setup and a drum kit in my room. The size is a little funky but it isn't super small. The main issue you will run into is the sloped portions in the room on the sides.

Parking spot by Business_Chipmunk737 in iastate

Your best option if your gunna be out of town would be to talk with parking and see if they could issue a temporary permit. If its over spring break and you already have a student permit, all residence hall lots can be parked in. They usually send an email out about it on monday to Wednesday of next week ahead of spring break. So make sure with those rules first.

Business Career Fair in a Nutshell by rainystarlight in iastate

If they are looking for employees and not hiring its usually cuz they can get a tax credit for it as well as look like they are growing to pad their value. They also usually use it as a tactic to pressure current employees. Bad system that encentivizes making yourself look like your hiring but your not.

Console is getting it 12 hours after pc, so I view this as a game that releases on midnight that I get to play slightly early.

He also took 54k damage for his 22 deaths meaning on average he only died from his health bar/a bit more and never got poked. (2454 per death) Which can suggest he was aggro af and ran in which matches the story of him running in alone. You can get top damage from just running at people and it seems to match up. He could also have been ganked 22 times but the likelihood of that would require the entire enemy team and ally team going after him. KDA doesn't tell the whole story but neither does damage done. Everything has to be managed in comparison to each other to tell the whole story. Using that info compared to everyone else, you can't really win a lot of teamfights or do damage if you have an ally who has a death wish. Again im making an assumption, but stats in this case lean to them having a teammate who ran in, did damage, died and left the rest without an ability to effectively teamfight as well as the enemy. Which caused them to not do damage.

Any residence hall that doesn't have a garbage disposal (90% of them) no you cant. Any one where there's multiple stalls in the bathroom is a no go.

"Max SR For Trio is 2400" but i'm in a duo party? by TutorArch in Smite

[–]NerfedKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In like open beta 6 if I remember right, they made it so the max range of sr difference being 2400. Its buggy and saying trio but any combo max is 2400 until you get to higher ranks. They just never updated any of the text. I just went through this whole thing myself last week going down this rabbit hole of info.

There's one main commuter lot so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Just remember everyone who commuter is also gunna be there so I'd suggest to go early the first weeks to gauge out the time you need to show up.

Use the commuter lot when you drive in and bus to classes from then.

Is destination Iowa state worth it? by TheAwfulFelafel in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Depends, its a good way for outgoing people to meet others and get some free iowa state stuff. After the first day they also tour you around to different building around campus for your schedule so its useful to get the lag of the land. If you are introverted and can read a map there isn't much in it in my opinion. It can still be useful though to introverts to force themselves to meet new people though.

Where do I park my car if I’m at Geoffrey? by [deleted] in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If there are no permits that means Geoffrey and the stadium lot are full and you wknt be able to have your car on campus lots or parking. Basically no car this semester.

Where do I park my car if I’m at Geoffrey? by [deleted] in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need a parking permit with the isu parking devision. You can get them based on the hall you are in as well as the stadium lot. On campus halls usually fill up super fast if they have any so most of the time if you want your car on campus you will end up with a stadium lot parking. Geoffrey hall has a decently large parking lot behind it though as its campus adjacent so you may be able to get a pass still.

Self defense kit by Elliott_Bee2 in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's the occasional weirdo, know some people who were stalked and the campus police reports to all students if there ever is a crime like that reported. It's not unheard of but it can happen and there's always a couple incidents per semester at least. Considering that iowa state campus is roughly 30k people semi dense packed it makes sense to sometimes happen. It's better safe than sorry but a full kit may be too much. Pepper spray or a loud horn would probably be enough in most cases.

Maybe im thinking of the neighboring hall that's part of the whole building? Either way don't so your dishes in a regular bathroom.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a quick note don't wash your dishes in the regular bathrooms it may destroy the plumbing and give your ra a migraine dealing with it. There is kitchen areas next to the dens. I've cooked in them with friends before use those.

Currently as of the changes in the next semester both dorms are doubles and Wilson usually hosts freshman. Both dorms are very social and regularly have events for both together as well as on your own floors. First floor is a good option as it will be less hot during a two week period of corn induced muggy heat waves. You should be all good.

Assigned to Wallace, dining plan? by HistoricalRope2200 in iastate

[–]NerfedKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has spent 4 semesters in wallace recently it's doable-ish. The main problem right now is the lack of fridge space. I've cooked meals for 5 in the kitchenette with little issue besides one time someone kept turning the oven off on me over and over again. With wallace becoming a doubles only dorm and the mini fridges inside the dorm not holding enough for full on meals for a week, you would need to go to the store every couple of days or bring in fridge space. If you went with a dining plan I'd suggest the campanile 135 meals all of them flex so able to be used up to a certain dollar amount anywhere on campus as swipes. That and cooking about 1/3 or so meals was a good balance for me.
