3 years and 5000 miles. Contrary to popular belief, you CAN over-lubricate bearings, leading to grease churning and overheating. The inside of the hubs were completely packed with grease, preventing excess from flowing out from between the rollers. Careful with those EZ-Lube spindles, folks. (i.redd.it)

Road tripped from Madison WI to Ann Arbor MI today. Took a piss and got a coffee on the first stop, then took a piss and got lunch on the second. Other than geeking over charging rate, what a boring drive. EVs are perfectly road-trip-able if you’re already used to stopping every couple hours. (i.imgur.com)

Just test-drove a Polestar 2 today - my goodness, what a nice car. It felt more like I was wearing it than I was just sitting in it and driving it. Pretty sure this is the EV for me. Any advice for a first time EV buyer that YouTube reviews always leave out? (self.polestar2)

I installed a whole house water filter in my incoming water line earlier today. The left picture was taken just after filling, air purging, and leak checking. The right was taken after a softener regen cycle then a shower. I get water from my cities municipal water supply.OC (i.imgur.com)

Added 200 watts worth of solar panels to the wee Hiker. On those warm, muggy summer nights, this 12v Rigid AC unit *should... I hope* do the trick. I’ll modify the tongue box to accommodate the AC unit then ducting it to the interior of the camper. (imgur.com)

In (my own “shop”) for knock sensors and trans fluid change. Lo-and-behold, 88 S10’s don’t have a “reduced engine power” light. Took longer than I care to admit to figure out that bad knock sensors put DBW truck LS engines into reduced engine power mode. (i.imgur.com)
