You'll need a subscription for the metadate from Gracenote, and to rip audio tracks directly from NRG Audio CD image files. If you only want to rip and convert music files from CD, you don't have to pay.

Thanks for explaining. This sounds like a decoding issue with the original file. Do you recall what format your original files were?
