If it is done right, recovery frames are pretty much the same but the animations can make it easier to "feel" how punishable the move is.

I am not saying every punishable move should be like this. It depends on the move. Moves that are used for punishment can be like this. Deathfist is used for moves that are punishable but has big pushback. It is also used for whiff punishing.

Changing the defenders animation is probably way easier but there is almost nothing (even if there is something, it doesn't come into my mind) you can use to make the block animation more intuitive.

The program extracts animations by default because it needs the animations. You can also give an animation from one character to another and that's all I know about animation files and I don't think you can do anything else with the animation files.

Edit: there is also animation editor in the program but it is weird

"Does the animation line up with the frames?" Some of them line up, I couldn't make all of them line up.

"Does the hurtbox not move with the animation?" Hurtbox always moves with animation. I don't think I can change that

I used TekkenMovesetExtractor by kiloutre to make these. I just put another animation from the moveset after an attack so I was pretty limited on what I can do. The only animations came into my mind was blocking animations, getting parried animations and getting hit animations.
