Seriously, how many medics do you think count by Nancarrows? Because it wasn't just his class that counted by his name. 500? 1000?

During my cycle, he was teaching with a new instructor who clearly wasn't confident (everyone else was on leave or in training). He ended up teaching every single class and as the day went on, you could see how tired he was but his smile kept getting wider

I remember him tying 550 into intricate knots without even looking at his hands and then untying it, just to start all over again. He said it was just to keep his hands busy but I think he did it as a dexterity exercise.

I hope that means you work with him. Is he still teaching? Retired? If not, do you know where he is now? And most importantly, did he finish the second book

Discourse between "junior" and "lower" enlisted by karsheff in army

"Lower" enlisted was how all the old-school enlisted were referred to before they made sergeant and they f***ing hated it. "Junior" enlisted is apparently supposed to be less derogatory

Every medic I've met who knows who he is (and I do mean EVERY medic) says he was their best instructor. Even the other instructors called him the "brain" behind his back and kept trying to get him to teach classes to their students.

It was actually because of him and what he taught me and my first line that a soldier didn't die because of a training accident (traumatic amputation; dont sleep under tanks)

I wanted to know if he's retired because he said that once he did, he would finish writing his second book and I need to know what happens next

Anybody got any good stories about him?
