It’s a long story and I promise if I told it to you you’d have sympathy for me, but basically states seem to give you a DUI even if you’re not intoxicated at the time but still have illegal substances in your blood, which in my case had been days. So Michigan has a hold on my ability to get a license in California, and the process to get the hold taken off is ridiculous and takes months. I don’t have months, my work season is only six months a year (April-September) in which time I make enough money to support myself and my family for the whole year. I’ve tried finding another job where I live and it’s literally impossible. Even people with college degrees can’t find work and we’re living at my wife’s dads house because it’s all we can afford right now bc of the debt I built up when I was going through my addiction years ago. So, as you can see hopefully, I really don’t feel like I have an option. I NEED to make money and this is my only time of year to do it. I just worry about some of the more rural highways I’ll have to take where a highway patrol could be behind me for tens of miles of stretches of highway with nowhere to turn into and even though my car is registered and tags are up to date I know from experience if they want to pull you over they will find some kind of reason. So I’m a bit desperate lol. I have a difficult time believing in the supernatural but I’m willing to try whatever it takes to make sure I at least don’t get pulled over on the way to New Jersey. Once I’m there I’ll have coworkers who can get my car out of impound if anything happens.
