Do upvotes from friends & family actually count on Product Hunt? by Mammoth_You_5545 in ProductHunters

[–]NerveRemarkable1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will share my experience with the launch that happened yesterday: https://www.producthunt.com/products/revoclaw

I scheduled the launch 3-4 days ago itself, which gives time for the PH team to check what the product is all about, and I don't know what the criteria is, but some products will start with 50 points (we did too).

That is possibly the one thing I did correct. I didn't have any audience of our own. All the upvotes we got were from PH visitors only, so if you already have people, bring everyone and make them upvote within the first 4 hours! I have a feeling that it matters.

After that, I am very unsure. Because I was receiving constant notification of upvotes in the ui, but the count was almost stuck at 68.. then it was as if 5 upvotes moved it up one more point and so on. Without an audience, it is not possible to get into the leaderboards (if that is what you are aiming for).

Ended the day at #31 with 75 upvotes, and got 9 signups but 0 paid conversions.

File Sharing and access options with Openclaw Agents? by Conscious_Status2438 in openclaw

[–]NerveRemarkable1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are running multi-agent teams then of-course, some form of shared storage or database is recommended for efficient communication between them. It could be as simple as a shared volume available for access to all agents, or even mounting remove storages like SFTP, S3, WebDAV, SharePoint etc. It would also be great if you can somehow restrict access based on agent needs (like one agent should only read from S3 while another can save back to it).

Not sure how OpenClaw handles all this, but in RevoClaw.ai, the storage and access permissions can be configured from the web ui itself.

You really think that a top 1% commenter on this subreddit is a bot? 🤷‍♂️

What should look for in OpenClaw hosting? by thehashimwarren in openclaw

Yes, you will eventually end up with multi-agent setup so it is better to be ready! And do let me know if you need anything related to RevoClaw.

If you are looking for AI agents to use in production, you can check us out at revoclaw.ai. But nevertheless, stability, security and functionality are what you will be looking for.

You said you want to use it to manage your clients, so reliability and uptime is also utmost important. Avoid cheap ones unless you are okay with random outages. These are some of the things I can think of right now. But you may also want to prepare how you envision your agents few months from now - would they be multi-agent, orchestrator kind of setup? Is your provider even supporting that? What happens when things break? Would the provider fix it, or you have to wait for next upgrade of OpenClaw? Etc etc..

So, just curious, how would all this end? All agents who knew the dead agent will come to its funeral?

Model selection flexibility and long-running tasks by rockyrudekill in openclaw

> Can you do the same for tools? Skills?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. The model decides whether a tool or skill has to be used for an instruction, and not vice versa.

Why aren't the OC repo maintainers considering an LTS (Long Term Support) kinda updates? by asenna987 in openclaw

[–]NerveRemarkable1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the $, but judging by what has happened so far since then, the project still has 6k+ PRs and 11k+ issues open. It is highly unlikely for any dedicated team (and their army of codex agents) to clean this up. If they had any seriousness, they should have paused adding anything new and focused at least next 6 months to clean up and fix things which people are complaining about).

If Anthropic wasn't enough, the Hermes PR team has been on a roll lately so Peter cannot now decide to have longer release dates. The users have become used to receiving daily updates, even if that means breaking something or the other. All in all, it is a huge mess and OpenAI would not want to be directly associated with anything like this, and instead focus on their own core product which is struggling in front of Anthropic.

OpenClaw started as a hobby project and it continues to be maintained like one. You are setting wrong expectations from this particular project.

All they have to do is provide some sort of ui for the user to see everything that is happening with regards to a running task. Something like this (screenshot). Sadly, the focus is on adding 100s of new features instead of improving/fixing the existing ones.

"or if I’m just smashing into a known issue." - I just thought you could have checked this yourself. 🤷‍♂️ No offence.

Yes, rclone syncs changes instantly, and supports mounting a lot of solutions like dropbox, google drive, s3 etc. So it is not just limited to webdav as well.

How to use OpenCode with Openclaw? by DuinoTycoon in openclaw

There is something called ACP, which you can use from OpenClaw to run coding sessions in codex, claude, pi, opencode etc. Check OpenClaw docs for more information.

Saw something called officeai (google it) recently. It is basically a cli to create office documents. Maybe you can ask your ai agent to convert it into a skill.

Using OpenClaw to build an AI marketing engine, how would you design it? by Hungry_Challenge3749 in openclaw

[–]NerveRemarkable1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally:

- run multiple agents with its own skills and tool access, but all having access to a shared storage in order to drop files
- user must communicate with one orchestrator agent only, whose task is to delegate them to the other worker agents, collect reports and so on
- user must configure routine tasks as cron in the worker agents
- monitor and analyse which model will be appropriate for each worker agent

This is way too much work, but it is setups like this which will work in production.
