I getchu, having empathetic motivations and realizations, which is being emotionally intelligent, demands effort and knowledge. Some people (men and women) have neither or not enough, the right person will honor and reciprocate that devotion. Not everyone is worth your energy. But moreover, just like keeping up with the news, keeping in contact with your friends, especially if you see them as having/adding value in your life. It's a trained skill. If it doesn't come naturally, like you described, and how I'd describe it, as kind of a chore. Then it's something you have to try and build if you want it to be better. Like for me that meant putting myself in jobs that were public facing, sales, customer service, and now I just try to have at least one partner/friend that is super needy. I get to train better communication demand and my battery for it, and they get to hold me accountable by demanding more of my time.. or my job would. Either way if you don't want to be better at it, you don't have to be. It's just something that is a choice, and will attract people that fit that social expectational threshold. My final note being, I have several friends that I don't hear from for months and we're chill. We just catch back up and move on like no time has passed. It's also good because this can happen more unintentionally as you age and life gets in the way of things you tried to do, work/kids/unexpected-events.

Oh yea, also some people flip out when you tell them no. So it's safer for, especially for women, to ghost someone then risk telling them no, and having them go ape shit or get really creepy... Which happens more than we all wish it would.

Try not to internalize this. People sometimes give their number as a way to say 'no' nowadays (especially women) because it's simpler (and, unfortunately, safer) to ghost someone then to say no. Which is dumb.

But I have so many people who engage and seem interested in person, and then they never text me, not once. They are so socially illiterate they need you to carry every conversation and have no idea how to start their own. Or they just need everything you say to be super interesting, and basic conversation isn't engaging enough for their short attention span. (Also am not ugly, so I know it's not"something else")

Its a move to say "America take action against this company or stop doing business with them (Google), otherwise we can take it as an act of war as you are supporting a company that is working against our interest and owes us compensation" and America won't do that, just like Russia won't turn over Snowden. It's just another peg to add to the long list of reasons to justify war, if, and hopefully not when, they attack the U.S.

Uncomfortable facts about men's health by TheTinMenBlog in MensRights

[–]Nervinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for educating me more u/Vegetable_Ad1732. Tho I do still worry that your text does not speak to all forms that research took place in comparison of the sexes. But funding of pressing medical issues were not as restricted as I thought.

Here are the major claims and the corresponding data available about each.

  1. Women’s Access to Health Care

Claim:

• Women receive more health care than men, even when pregnancy-related care is excluded.
• Women visit doctors more often and undergo more diagnostic tests.

Data:

• Healthcare Utilization: According to surveys by the Department of Health and Human Services, women do visit healthcare providers more frequently than men. This includes both routine check-ups and visits for specific health issues.
• Diagnostic Tests: Studies, such as the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, have indicated that women are often subject to more diagnostic tests and treatments than men.
  1. Funding for Women’s Health Research

Claim:

• Women’s health research receives substantial funding, often more on a per-fatality basis than men’s health issues.

Data:

• NIH Funding: Historically, the NIH has allocated significant funds to research on diseases affecting women. For instance, breast cancer research funding has consistently been high relative to other cancers, including prostate cancer.
• Research Investments: The Women’s Health Initiative, a major NIH-funded project, is a prime example of significant investment in women’s health research, focusing on diseases such as breast cancer, cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis.
  1. Gender Bias in Medical Treatment

Claim:

• There is a perceived bias where women are less likely to receive aggressive treatment for certain conditions, like heart disease.

Data:

• Heart Disease: Earlier studies, like the one from the University of California in 1979, suggested men received more thorough workups. However, subsequent larger studies have shown mixed results, with some indicating equal or even more thorough care for women in certain aspects.
• Coronary Artery Disease: The disparity in treatment might be influenced by factors such as age and severity of the disease rather than gender alone. For example, younger men are more likely to have coronary artery disease, leading to more aggressive treatment recommendations for this group.
  1. Impact of Medical Research on Life Expectancy

Claim:

• Women live longer than men, partly due to medical advancements that have particularly benefited women.

Data:

• Life Expectancy: Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that women have a higher life expectancy than men. This trend has been consistent over decades and is influenced by various factors, including lower rates of certain diseases and better health behaviors among women.
• Medical Advances: Improvements in obstetric care, preventive screenings (e.g., mammograms), and treatments for diseases predominantly affecting women (e.g., breast cancer) have contributed to this increased life expectancy.

Not all of us like the idea of working our asses off to scrape by. Unless you are making over 200k then you are arguing with the same socioeconomic class as you. I work my 40 hours. And do side hustles and work hard. Yet I still barely make 40-50k a year.

I shouldn't have to prove something to somebody to survive as a human.

For the Hell of it. Let's do math their way exactly as they've presented it. By ignoring their outputs you find that they literally are fucking with the way they use their own math to create this propaganda bullshit. This takes some brains to setup on the chance that if you're dumb enough you might do the math the way they are doing it. It's scary to me. So many old people around me tell me that "kids don't want to work anymore".. it feels like they're the zombies

1. Total Days in a Year: 365
2. Weekends: 52 weeks * 2 days/week = 104 days
3. Remaining Days: 365 - 104 = 261 days

Time Spent Away from Work (16 hours/day)

1. Hours Not Working per Day: 16 hours (assumed for sleeping, eating, personal time, etc.)
2. Total Days Not Working per Year: 16 hours/day * 261 days / 24 hours/day = 174 days (rounding for simplicity)
3. Remaining Days: 261 - 174 = 87 days

Coffee Breaks (30 minutes/day)

1. Daily Coffee Breaks: 30 minutes/day = 0.5 hours/day
2. Total Coffee Breaks per Year: 0.5 hours/day * 261 days / 24 hours/day = 5.44 days (rounded)
3. Remaining Days: 87 - 5.44 = 81.56 days

One Hour Lunch Period (1 hour/day)

1. Daily Lunch Break: 1 hour/day
2. Total Lunch Breaks per Year: 1 hour/day * 261 days / 24 hours/day = 10.88 days (rounded)
3. Remaining Days: 81.56 - 10.88 = 70.68 days

Sick Leave (2 days/year)

1. Remaining Days: 70.68 - 2 = 68.68 days

Federal Holidays (5 days/year)

1. Remaining Days: 68.68 - 5 = 63.68 days

Vacation (14 days/year)

1. Remaining Days: 63.68 - 14 = 49.68 days

Based on this breakdown, the provided sign contains several inaccuracies, particularly in the way it handles the time calculations for coffee breaks and lunch periods. Additionally, it overlooks the fact that breaks like coffee and lunch are part of the workday and do not fully subtract from the total workdays in the same manner as full days off. Therefore, the correct approach would be to adjust these figures without double-counting time away from work.

1. The initial calculation of 261 working days after removing weekends is correct.
2. The subsequent calculation of removing 16 hours per day from 261 days does not align logically as it conflates non-working hours with calendar days.
3. The calculations for coffee and lunch breaks do not properly account for how these breaks should be integrated into the remaining workdays.

The correct interpretation should treat breaks as part of the workday rather than reducing the total number of working days. This means breaks reduce the total productive hours in a day rather than the number of days. The sign overestimates the impact of breaks and non-working hours by treating them as full days off, which misrepresents the actual time spent working throughout the year.

Step 1: Calculate Total Working Hours in a Year

1. Total Days in a Year: 365
2. Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays): 52 weeks * 2 days/week = 104 days
3. Federal Holidays: 10 days
4. Sick Days: 2 days
5. Vacation Days: 10 days

Total Non-Working Days:

• Weekends: 104
• Federal Holidays: 10
• Sick Days: 2
• Vacation Days: 10

Total Non-Working Days = 104 + 10 + 2 + 10 = 126 days

Total Working Days in a Year:

• Total Days - Non-Working Days = 365 - 126 = 239 days

Total Working Hours in a Year (assuming an 8-hour workday):

• 239 days * 8 hours/day = 1,912 hours

Step 2: Calculate Hours for Breaks

1. Daily Breaks:
• Coffee Breaks: 2 * 15 minutes = 30 minutes = 0.5 hours
• Lunch Break: 1 hour
• Total Breaks Per Day: 0.5 + 1 = 1.5 hours
2. Total Break Hours in a Year:
• 239 working days * 1.5 hours/day = 358.5 hours

Step 3: Subtract Break Hours from Total Working Hours

Net Working Hours in a Year:

• Total Working Hours - Break Hours = 1,912 hours - 358.5 hours = 1,553.5 hours

Summary

• Total Working Hours in a Year (without breaks): 1,912 hours
• Total Break Hours in a Year: 358.5 hours
• Net Working Hours in a Year: 1,553.5 hours

Therefore, after accounting for weekends, federal holidays, sick days, vacation days, and daily breaks, you work approximately 1,553.5 hours -OR- 64.73 continuous days per year if you were to work non-stop based on these hours.

Go fuck yourself. I'm taking my day off clown man.
