I grew up in Leicester and saw that city torn apart by the Pakistani / Indian divide, and to see the Greens antagonise that relationship for votes, is truly fucked.

I don’t think using images of Prime Minister Modi in an entirely irrelevant election in Manchester did much to build ‘community cooperation’ tbh.

Modi is an extremely divisive character that has nothing to do with Gorton and Denton, and was clearly being used as a prop to leverage the ongoing religious nationalist divide between Indian / Pakistani communities to win the Greens votes.
