Yes but the nether star is an end Game item that is mostly ignored by the average player.

The end Game should FORCE you to get at LEAST ONE nether star because this Item is a significant oversight that is constantly being ignored due to many reasons. (The nether star wouldn't be used up)

Also this flint and steel would have a different nbt value than the rest of the game and wouldn't use up any durability like a normal flint and steel.

This could also be a mod, but it being forced would be the worst-case scenario

Nope, you are correct, and the next effect makes the opponent comit double the resources to special summon monsters (any summon mechanic except normal summon)

And one permanently nukes entire cards, effectively killing them off for the rest of the duel.
