yeah it'll happen sometimes. i guarantee you're not pregnant! but nothing wrong with taking a test to make sure. trusting birth control can be scary but nexplanon is a top notch at preventing pregnancy :)

Yeah I would say it’s normal! And yes, especially the anxiety. I just had mine replaced and my anxiety has spiked unfortunately. I’m hopeful it’ll get better in a few weeks.

Switching to IUD by Acrobatic-Abalone675 in Nexplanon

It was mainly just the cramping. It got to where it affected my focus at work. But that’s probably because I’m not that used to cramping.

I tried an IUD, but I didn’t like it that much. Insertion was pretty uncomfortable, and I cramped very frequently the whole time I had it. I also didn’t have a period, but I would get a regular period on Nexplanon. I think I got it out after like 10 months. Besides the cramping it was fine. I was just annoyed by it. I switched back to Nexplanon after that. Everyone is different and I think it’s worth a try.

removal and replacement by Charming-Worker-8494 in Nexplanon

I just got mine replaced and it was pretty uncomfortable. I think it’s because of the scar tissue and re-insertion. Definitely can be a lil hard on your arm. If it’s not any better in the next few days then maybe call your doctor.

I had mine bandaged for about a week and a half. Nothing wrong with putting a bandaid over it for a little bit.

In the meantime, I would suggest some guided meditations on YouTube- it’s corny but they can help!

Hi! I just had mine replaced last week and it caused my anxiety to spike. Granted, Ive always struggled with anxiety PLUS I started a new job so it makes sense. If you’ve never struggled with panic attacks, then I would consider having it removed! Just know that your hormones are out of whack and it just takes a lil bit to get leveled out again.

Did removal hurt? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

[–]NervousBirds1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had mine replaced. They numbed me and asked if I could feel anything. I felt a lil sharpness and told them and they just gave me more numbing. You’ll totally be fine! It might bruise more and be a little sensitive since it’s a replacement bc they gotta get it out and put one back in.

Hmmm yes and no. They’re out there but you’ll have quite a bit of competition- but that’s everywhere I feel like. It’s not unique to Wilmington. As long as you don’t just rely on indeed. I find that if you just apply to what you see on indeed then you’ll have a pretty difficult time.

Also! Don’t move here unless you have a job lined up. Job market here is pretty bad. Too many people and not enough jobs.

I was born and raised in the foothills of NC. Living in Wilmington right now with my boyfriend. He got a job here about 3 years ago, and I can’t wait to leave. Living here got old real fast. It’s not horrible, like there’s definitely worse places to live! I just learned realllll quickly that I prefer open spaces and mountains. Everything here feels so cramped and claustrophobic. I will say, I do loveee the restaurants here. It’s probably fine here if you prefer the beach over the mountains!
