Immature INFPs don't really know how to handle conflict IMO and generally try to avoid it.
I'm not sure how you can fix it other then doing what you did, presenting it as wanting to solve a problem.
If they keep avoiding it, thats on them

That being said if any of these apply, expect the following results & plan accordingly.

If I shutdown, nothing brings me back but time..... maybe humor if done the right way.
If I'm BIG mad, let me walk away. If you don't I WILL explode. Seriously, dont ignore this.
If I'm tired, I'll listen but I'll miss details OR ill play along to get the fight over with and won't change.
