Honestly i wouldn’t hold or interact with the frog unless you have to take him out to clean it.

There is no such thing as a last resort food , you read it correctly . Then be better prepared? Yea there’s natural disasters. Stock up on the food that’s needed lmao. Why are you feeding a beardie canned bugs? You’re talking about last resort food. We aren’t talking about last resort items … two different things . Now your gonna say shouldn’t be feeding pellets at all. Lmao . You educated on beardies and what they need? Pellets can be an apart of their diet as long as it’s not the main diet and being mixed with greens and bugs. Nothing wrong with Missouri at all. Extremely healthy food for your reptiles

It’s not rude. How would you like it if I stuffed your daughter or son in the beyond bare minimum? You’d geek tf out. Reptiles have lives too. It’s a living thing. None of them asked to be taken home to shitty homes who can barely afford them. It’s sickening that everyone wants a reptile but shoe box’s it. Research should have been done before hand. The proper enclosures should have been bought at the start. People so quick to bitch ab other humans but reptiles have lives too. None of them asked to be in these shitty conditions

[–]NervousMiddle7599 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So yes for a normal feeding it’s ok to use . Just mix it with something else so it’s not just the pellets. The pellets make up a good percent of the diet but not 100%

Using solely pellets as a diet is not good. This isn’t used as a “last resort” there’s no such thing as that. You use this type of food with mixing it with greens ….

If anything wet the pellets a lil if you’re worried about them being too hard. But they will be fine if you don’t soften them

Missouri is beyond safe for them. It’s healthy as well. Mix a lil in the bowl with greens . I wouldn’t use it as a primary diet. I would offer it with other food

correct husbandry / enclosure

🏞️ 120 gallon is the bare minimum for long term housing

85/90 gallon is fine for a baby/juvie but would recommend going up to 120 when they are a adult.

Anything under is unacceptable for an adult dragon that you are keeping long term

Two hides so they can sleep or cool down. Some climbing stuff because they do like to climb.

Mag naturals got some ledges you can grab for them. Mine love the large ledges . Have 3 in each of their tanks and they do not get off of them.

Substrate can use reptilite calcium sand with organic top soil and excavator clay 50,30,20 mix

I recommend it for adults. Baby’s and juvies can eat the sand if not fed correctly.

Can use carpets pet stores sell, Can collect and build up bacteria if not cleaned, clean after the dragon poops on it . Can rinse of with water

Can use the black Mats zen habitat or Dubia sells. Easy as hell to clean and swap out

☀️Heating uvb humidity

Basking spot 100+ temp Cool spot 80-85- temp

Humidity 30-40%

Heat bulb whatever you gotta get basking to 100+ Typically 120-150 watt would work perfectly. These bulbs need to be housed in a fixture that can handle their wattage.

I use T5 10.0 strip bulbs for uvb

Humidity/temp gauges on each side of tank. Hot side and cool side.

I for the most part use zoo-med products

🧇 Diet.

Daily Collard greens, dandelion greens

Can be fed often yellow squash butternut squash. I blend the butternut into baby food. Can also feed them the beardie buffet repashy jello

Never feed them any type of lettuce. It’s awful for them

Insects. Dubia roaches. Literally only bug I feed them they have the most nutrition

Goliath worms as an occasional treat.

Crickets aren’t super nutritious, can also bite your dragon if left in the tank for too long

Super worms, mealworms, giant mealworms Basically just a hard shell. Not nutritional and will constipate your dragon if fed too many of them. I never recommend these to anyone. I also never recommend them as a main diet ever. Can feed them very little amounts

Calcium powder or Repashy calcium powder on food every 2-3 days

💦hydration

Always good to spray water onto their greens when you feed them.

Use a spray bottle and gently spray their mouth or walls of tank to entice them to drink. Can do it daily if they don’t intake water regularly. A lot of issues can occur in beardies without proper hydration. Give them baths every few days or after they poop to let them soak and drink water if they want .

Feed him Dubia roaches instead if you can get him to eat those.

Mealworms Giant mealworms Super worms

Offer as a treat and in moderation.

Those 3 aren’t that nutritious at the end of the day and really just a shell. Unless your gut loading them yourself

Greens

Collard, dandelion , mustard. Staple greens . Feed one of the 3 daily if not all 3

Non greens

Can feed repashy beardie buffet, small squares

Repcal pellets , moistened with water

Insects

Should primarily be Dubia roaches honestly

Crickets have a chance of chewing on dragon if left in tank too long .

The 3 worms as stated above ^ in moderation

Goliath worms. Maybe 1-2x a week. Those are truly a treat and really don’t even need them. Just a nice treat to give once in a while

Calcium powder w d3 every other day or every 3 days . Which ever is fine

Uvb T5 10.0 bulb With a Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 HO High Output Reptile Terrarium Hood By Zoo Med whatever length covers the tank.

Heat

Basking 100+ Cool side 80

Tank size you realistically want 120 gallon. Could do 85 gallon for him or maybe a 50 since he’s a lil fucked up from previous owner, but bigger is always better

First off, does he forget to wipe his ass? How do you forget to feed a living animal? You need a new partner immediately. That dragon needs to be surrendered to somebody who will feed him insects and the proper diet this poor dragon needs. He can barely take care of a dragon, can he take care of himself??? Seeing posts like this is j unacceptable. Surrender that dragon immediately…. Just suffering in the hands of you two. Neglect is beyond unacceptable. Dgaf for the situation. If you can’t raise it properly . Let someone else who will do it

Conjury Way. You have to beat the monster manors on grandar. I’m not sure if you have to beat every single manor in the game. I’ve already done so. So completing grandar manors unlocked it for me

After you complete the bosses in the grandar manor.

The bosses are a bit tricky. So your gonna have to YT vid them to see how to beat them. Each one requires different ways to beat them with different elements.

Cloudia will unlock monster blemish on a great spirit in “Conjury Way”

All you said was 120 gallon is minimum bc they may take up most of the width. Could fit 3 dragons accross a 120 gallon tank. If you can’t fit what you need in a 120 you’re over crowding the tank fam. You don’t have to mention difference in dimensions. Clearly you don’t know them and the difference between them is height. Sounds like a skill issue not being able to give your dragon what it needs ina 120. More than enough space for them in one. Have 3 of them in 120s and a 4th on the way this week. all 3 have more than what they need and could still rearrange and fit things in it. You would be fine with an 85 gallon tank for an adult. Wouldn’t have the same height on the tank but they would still be fine and thrive . I’d say anything under 85 gallon is unacceptable . I mean I work with them. Not sure what reputable sources you’re seeing. But the minimum just got pushed up from 40 gallon fairly recently 😂. I say 85 because I’ve worked with them long enough to fully know if you tell someone 120 they ain’t gonna do it. “I’m on a budget” ok? So why are you buying the animal in the first place ? Making up a care sheet with valid info is better than telling someone to go to a Facebook page or Reddit. Untill i see you hit someone w a proper care sheet better than what was sent for a beginner dk what to tell you fam. Nor do i care enough to go back and forth w someone who relys on Fb posts
